It is spring in South America. The season of all things green and flowery.

Roses, ginkgo, the first of the calendula flowers. Mint, thyme, and rosemary. I collect them to dry and fresh to add to my herbal fermentation. I gather roses and ginkgo for my online store and plant more herbs for the seasons to come. I am crafting salves and herbal oils for future products. And you know I am drinking teas every day.

While all the previously mentioned herbs are ones that I have gathered for years & years, there are others that are new to me. This is the first year that we don't have a horse (or three) wandering around the yard and so finally the passion vine is getting a chance to bloom. Previously the horses ate every visible part of the passion vine. This year though, I am going to be able to harvest the flowers and the fruit too.
And the luckiest part is that the season of the herbalists lasts much longer than just October, it goes throughout spring, summer, and fall.
