HOORAY! IT'S MY THIRD HIVE BIRTHDAY!

@callmesmile · 2025-05-28 10:10 · Loving HIVE ❤
How time flies so fast. My first day, my first post, and my first year in Hive seemed just like yesterday, and yet here I am now, happily stepping into my THIRD YEAR! ![Brown Minimalist Happy Birthday Photo Collage A4.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/callmesmile/23zben9R6wmCEHujfxgkREWjw5PMtGjUZ35zkFNY8gpGta4YedQfRsBavShT6t5YBsgiU.png) It was two days ago when @hivebuzz notified me that I am officially on my **3rd year** in the blockchain, which means three grateful years for discovering this platform, which allows me to express myself and communicate, and in return gain friends and a community filled with positivity, and lastly (practically)building my future through my earned rewards in HP and HBD form, one post at a time. ![IMG_20250526_15.3308.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/callmesmile/23xVityvpGmCZXkjR1XVgzjQqQHRAMr5YeReDKCP5MRJ73PadQVKGD6mBF7K45EmeZ91t.jpg) Since I described my 3 years in Hive as **THREE GRATEFUL YEARS.** I love to share the wonderful things Hive has given me, which I am truly grateful for, my growth here, and my few thoughts for newbies who I was once in their shoes, especially to the growing newbies/Hivers, and student bloggers of Cebu, Philippines. ![IMG_20250526_153230.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/callmesmile/23uQhuCe5XcRCKYpyLBPyr1jLdEw1ipyL1vuu8TJ9CanSUECBFqZKw5ZJUs2CbZgFaQDA.jpg) >**Few of the many great things I am hugely thankful for in Hive.** Sometimes I wonder what good things I've done in the past to discover this platform. Hive has given me countless things and opportunities that I only once dreamed of. Aside from giving me the exposure to improve my communication skills and on ways how I organize my thoughts (I've noticed this personally), the recent win or achievement I had because of Hive was completing and graduating my Masters Degree and write a Thesis/ Research Study entitled **IMPROVING CREATIVE WRITING SKILLS OF THE GRADE-12 STUDENTS THROUGH WEB3 - HIVE BLOCKCHAIN BLOGGING** last December 2024. I'd like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the @OCD Onboarding program, its through this program that I was able to have my research respondents. Thank you so much @ocd.😟 *Yes, yes, I'll be sharing my whole book/study here, once I've visited the Grad School. There are things I need to ask and process in person; however, my pregnancy put a slight wrench in the works as I am having sickness traveling backa nd forth from my province to the city.* Other good things Hive has been spoiling me with are my small withdrawals from many months ago)for my travel and adventure, like my Baguio trip, where I climbed Mt. Pulag, my small projects, and many more, but of course, I never emptied my HBD savings nor powered down my HP. I am very much conscious of my account, and I want to grow it so badly as an investment for the future. > **Small progress is still a progress . My growth in three years.** I always check my growth here in Hive through my Hive Wallet. 😁 With this, I can compare my growth each year, reflect on things and aspects I should focus on and improved to (Char!). So far I have 7,390 Staked Hive and 877 staked HBD, I know this is still small but I am grateful for this small growth of mine. I am proud to say that these all came from my writing. For my 4th year I am aiming for a 10K Staked HP. (Crossing fingers) ![Screenshot 2025-05-28 112617.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/callmesmile/23w3CwXJGzcRc2jSjRTQ3kLf9XFPDBFqWVQLAQz4GJQ2xNgPuegoLwvEcvsBH5H3e63Ws.png) > **Humble tips to newbies, especially to our growing newbies/bloggers here in Cebu.** 1. **In Writing.** Make the most out of writing your blogs here on Hive. With or without rewards, you are gaining something. It's always a win. My Research study proves that Hive significantly improves the creative writing of the students, which is very helpful in nowadays skills! So writing in Hive is an upskill! 2. **For your earnings.** "Do not kill the Golden Goose". I've seen bloggers/newbies who withdraw everything all of their earnings, even powering down all their HP. Please don't do this. Since you have proved it already in yourself that Hive is a good source of income, I hope you won't empty everything. Though at the end of the day, it is your sole right to withdraw all your earnings, but I hope we also come to appreciate the importance of saving and investing. If Hive has given you a good income while you are doing it part-time, imagine the money it will give you in the future if you start growing it today. **HBD** yields 15% compounding interest of your staked Hive, which means, in every **80HBD** you save, it will give you approximately **1 dollar** interest a month. So try to compute the interest you will have if you have a certain amount of HBD in your account now. Meanwhile, for the HP or Staked Hive, the more staked you have, the more income you will earn through curation and delegation! Let's use my account for your reference. * In **7000** Staked Hive - I'm earning **30-32** Hive a month in curation/upvoting + **10 -11** Hive token for delegating. In total, I am accumulating **40 - 43** Hive a month. In today's market value, this is equivalent to around **578.00- 622.00 pesos**. Which means, I have a **passive income** of **more or less 600 pesos a month.** * For Staked HBD, let's have my **800 HBD** which gives me **10HBD** interest a month. In today's market value, this is equivalent to **537.00**pesos. In total, I am earning a passive income of **1,100** pesos a month, whether I write or not! For me, this is big already, and I know you'll have this too or even much bigger than this. **But yeah, at the end of the day, the decision is all ours whether to stake it or withdraw it. It is our hard work and we can cash in anytime we want, especially at times in need.** And same with my first year here on Hive, allow me to repeat these words straight from my heart ever since my Day 1 here on Hive : **The small achievements I have wouldn't be possible without the support of the curators big and small. Your support through upvotes, comments, and reblogs means a lot to me, and I am always grateful for it. I am forever humbled by your support.🙏 Thank you so much. (insert me teary-eyed)** Moreover, these are my Hivesarry Blogs! 😍 **First Hive Birthday** : https://peakd.com/hive-189306/@callmesmile/its-my-happy-first-hivebirthday-in-my-newfound-home-h-i-v-e **Second Hive Birthday** : https://peakd.com/hive-188409/@callmesmile/your-callmesmile-is-now-a-baby-dolphin-on-her-second-hive-birthday

Meanwhile let's eat ice cream for this small win! Happy 3rd Hive Birthday to me!
