**A warm shelter, hot french fries, the beautiful sounds of raindrops, and a light classic song playing in the background: I never thought would feel this great while being caught in the middle of the harsh rain on one of our road trips. It's chilly yet cozy.**

What an unexpected wonderful and intimate experience we had last weekend. My husband and I head for another adventure, we hit the road for another road trip.🏍️ We wanted to refresh and enjoy our weekend, unfortunately, the weather was not in our favor that day! It rained suddenly.🌧️ Luckily, we passed by this humble Cafe before getting soaked by the rain.

##### Seeking shelter @ Eddies Cafe.
Eddies Cafe is a newly established Cafe haven in the town. Shaded and protected by two giant Mango trees, the Cafe opened its doors to people amid the Pandemic last 2020. With its refreshing ambiance and relaxing atmosphere, one would surely ease their stress and worries away. The Cafe has become the go-to place for the people living near the town. Just as what the people needed at that time and up til now. Good thing the Cafe was able to maintain and upgrade the services offered so people come by often.

This photo was taken by my sister last time she went at Eddie's Cafe on a sunny .
During the heavy rain, the Cafe was our shelter. We positioned it on one of the wooden tables under the big umbrella. At first, I was worried that we might get wet from the rain, especially that we have with us our baby, but the mango tree gave us shelter and comfort to not worry.

##### The Cafe's Vintage design
The Cafe has a unique vintage design that makes its ambiance warm and homey. Aside from the old woods and other vintage decorations the Cafe had used, the highlight of the vintage theme is the Old two-story House by the owner's grandparents. The Cafe is in the front yard of the old house under the two Mango trees.

**I only realized then, that staying at a Vintage Cafe while listening to the raindrops together with your loved ones, felt cozy and romantic. Hehe. (Insert my happy heart).**😍
##### More on the inside.
At a glance, one would think that this Cafe looked as plain and simple inside as it is outside. But as you enter the place, you will see the wooden tables and benches, the vintage frame decorations hanging around the Mango tree, the wooden design, the color and the lighting of the counter and the kitchen area, all these things make the whole Cafe simply superb in its way.

What I love about this Cafe is the open kitchen that can be seen by everyone. One could see how the staff prepared and cooked the food you ordered. We only ordered french fries in return for our stay in the middle of the rain.☺️ We didn't plan to stay longer as we have our destination to go to. *Now I regret why we didn't order coffee to complete our experience.* Tsk.

The warm fire from the stove, the boiling oil, and the friendly staff was enough to heat up and warm our cold bodies because of the rain. While waiting for our order, I enjoyed checking the whole place. I roamed around and I found cute designs, posters and the old motorbike in front of the old house. It was still raining when we ate so we had the time to relax and chill after we were done eating.

##### How did we discover Eddies Cafe?
Thankfully we were close to the town already when we were caught by the rain. My husband speed up a little when we saw that the sky had started to change it's color fr bright azure blue skies to a dark sad skies. We felt sad at the moment because the weather might hinder us from reaching our destination at a given time, but we realized that maybe it's time to stop at the heart of our town and check some warm place, a new place to heed shelter during the rain. We honestly didn't have any idea where to stop by because I am no longer updated on the new Cafe establishments around the town. Not until we passed by this humble and refreshing Cafe hidden under a Mango tree of Poblacion, Tabogon, the **Eddie's Cafe**.

#### The takeaway.
From our experienced, I learned that, When it rained, we always have a choice, either get drenched in the rain or seek shelter. Choose the latter. Aside from that, it's a safety measure, but in life when we meet some storms while we pursue our goals and destinations, it's right to take rest, to take shelter. Continue when everything is calm. Who knows that during the stops, during the breaks, you'll find a haven, a place to gather more of your strength and energy?🤗
