Good evening, my friends, I welcome you all back to this beloved community. I hope you are all healthy and happy, allowing you to carry out your daily activities as usual. I hope you all have a pleasant day!
My friends!!!
Fungi play a vital role in nature, including decomposing organic matter and maintaining ecosystem balance. Therefore, it's no surprise to find these plants growing on decaying wood, which they likely need. They also decompose or break down wood, and that's one of the important roles of fungi.
On this occasion, I want to share with you one of the mushrooms I found growing on a cottonwood tree that was cut down a few days ago. Although the tree is still hard, there are many mushrooms on it. I suspect these mushrooms grow in groups and are the same species as oyster mushrooms. However, I don't think they are suitable for consumption due to their hard texture when I held them.
Below are some of the images I captured. I hope you all enjoy and enjoy what I share on this blog. That's all for now for this meeting.
Greetings everyone, see you on my next blog.
