Night Rainbow Lights
One of this winter's warm nights in Rijeka, Croatia I went for an evening walk around my neighborhood & I witnessed this light show in the container terminal. So I went back home for the camera & tripod & returned to the site to catch this beautiful color palette created by the ship directly & even nicer bouncing of the sea surface... Here are the results:
Maybe it's not the full range of rainbow colors, but almost!
It's fascinating for me how the ship seems almost bigger than the dock itself. I also like that the sea surface was not fully calm but upset a bit by the mild wind.
The dock & the container terminal are very close to the streets where people live.
On the way back home, up the hill, I decided to another one just to show the ambient of the area.
All the upper photos I made with Nikon D800 & Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70 mm lens. The self-portrait below I made with the same camera & lens.
