MY INTRODUCTORY POST
Hello everyone thank you for giving me this opportunity to express myself.
My name is Blessing Stephen but I love to be addressed as Stephen- Blessing because each day I get to meet lots of people answering Blessing so I decided to make my dad's name come first and let it sound like a compound word 'stephen_blessing'. I am the fourth child of my parents in the family of six girls. A graduate of University of uyo, library and information science. Although we once had a brother but life happen. I still have both parents and I love them so much.
I am a proud lover of Christ and I love kingdom things. I just have this strong belief that there's nothing my God can not do.
I am a proud Akwa ibomites, Ikono to be precised.
I recently completed my studies at University of uyo. Library and information science.
I grew up to meet my parents still trying to give us a comfortable life but nevertheless all of our basic needs were provided like shelter, education, clothing and all of that.
Because of my love for colours, I decided to learn how to sew, months after my high school education. I love fashion, I love taking pictures. I love writing and always eager to read new books. Yes I will say hide me inside the house with lots of books and then just give me snacks. I prefer junk food to real food, yh I know it bad but I'll change one day.
I finished my primary school in a small village called akamkpa in Cross River State. Although I have gone to two primary schools before writing my first school living certificate.
I left the first school because I wanted to skip a class and my parents were in support of it because of how fast I can learn my parents considered I skipped a basic five which was called primary five to primary six, my new school although it was a public school because that was what my parents could afford as at then.
I had a friend name Victoria, she had a radiant personality and was the only person who was so close to me as me in school as I was always very shy of talking to people.
Because of my timid life I'll prefer staying in class during break time and Victoria was the only person who will always stay with me.
After a year in that school (old netim government school) I wrote my common entrance and to God be the glory I got admitted into a boarding school in Calabar which I left after first term to another school named Treasure child comprehensive secondary school.
Because of how intelligent I was my parents saw it as a need to make sure I attend the best school inorder to make me compete with other kids and learn more.
In treasure child, I got to meet kids from different schools who were intelligent and ready to give their all to learn
The school made me realise my strength in writing and speaking as I will always represent the school in both internal and external quiz competition.
It was one of my best place, because I didn't just make friends with students but with teachers also which we still bond till today.
I was always known to be dramatic, and very skinny. My classmates would always make fun of me as they compared me to look like a fish bone.
It was in my highschool I got to form my clique of friends and I met my best friend name Divine . Divine is a cross riverian Akamkpa precisely.
She has passion in science subjects like chemistry biology physics and the others.
She's currently pursuing her career in college of health Calabar.
Most of my friends i earned now are friends I met in treasure child school. Someone like God's will Ikona who love to be addressed now as Unique Micheal. He is currently pursuing his career as a medical doctor in university of Calabar.
After six years in treasure child, I wrote my WAEC and NECO and God being by my side I got admitted into university of uyo to study library and information science.
At first, when I was given admission, I felt intimidated because of how shy I use to me. I was always afraid of meeting new people.
After a week I got use to the school settings and the higher institution life.
I recently signed out of the school I was once afraid of and I will say that the experience was worth it. It has shaped me to the person I'm becoming.
After my signed out, I was introduced to Veritas schools to apply as a teacher even though that's not what I studied but I have to adjust to it.
At the same time I was happy I will be meeting with the young minds again. My second day at Veritas I was introduced to HIVE by one of my colleague.
I was told that HIVE is a place that can help one grow intellectually, helps you to be creative and proactive.
I was told that Hive is a web3 decentralised social media platform that is unique and exceptional and sparks interest to want to learn more
I was also told that plagiarism is a big offense in HIVE and i must source properly every image and text that are not mine, and That Hive is a place where quality content are made.
I remain grateful for this opportunity to learn more, and also get to meet new people.
