Me hace muy feliz crear mi primera publicación en esta maravillosa comunidad y quiero aprovechar para contarles un poco sobre mí. 🚀

I am very happy to create my first post in this wonderful community, and I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself.🚀

¿Quién es Carla?

Soy orgullosamente Boliviana , nacida en el departamento de La Paz y actualmente vivo en la ciudad de El Alto. Esta ciudad, como su nombre lo indica, se encuentra a más de 4.000 metros sobre el nivel del mar, siendo una de las más altas del mundo y también la ciudad más joven de Bolivia.

Estudié Ingeniería Electromecánica y Electrónica, y actualmente trabajo en la supervisión y análisis de procesos en el sector de mantenimiento y telecomunicaciones. La tecnología me apasiona y por eso siempre busco aprender cosas nuevas, desde programación hasta diseño en herramientas digitales como Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma y Canva.

Who is Carla? I am proudly Bolivian, born in the department of La Paz, and currently living in the city of El Alto. This city, as its name suggests, is located more than 4,000 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest cities in the world and also the youngest city in Bolivia. I studied Electromechanical and Electronic Engineering, and I currently work in process supervision and analysis in the maintenance and telecommunications sector. I am passionate about technology, which is why I am always looking to learn new things, from programming to design in digital tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and Canva.

Más allá del trabajo… 💼

En mis días libres me gusta escapar del ritmo de la ciudad , visitar a mi familia en el interior y disfrutar de la paz del aire fresco. También disfruto mucho viajar a diferentes eventos de tecnología, donde tengo la oportunidad de aprender y compartir experiencias con otras personas apasionadas por el mundo tech.

La música me acompaña a donde vaya, ya sea en caminatas o momentos de relax.

Me encanta el baile, especialmente la salsa y la bachata, e incluso tuve la oportunidad de formar parte de un elenco.

También disfruto del folklore Boliviano, en especial el tinku, una danza emblemática del occidente que transmite mucha fuerza y energía. Cuando puedo, me sumerjo en la lectura de novelas y mangas; mis favoritos son los de ficción y magia.

Beyond work...💼 On my days off, I like to escape the pace of the city, visit my family in the countryside, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the fresh air. I also really enjoy traveling to different technology events, where I have the opportunity to learn and share experiences with other people who are passionate about the tech world. Music accompanies me wherever I go, whether on walks or during moments of relaxation. I love dancing, especially salsa and bachata, and I even had the opportunity to be part of a dance troupe. I also enjoy Bolivian folklore, especially tinku, an emblematic dance from the west that conveys a lot of strength and energy. When I can, I immerse myself in reading novels and manga; my favorites are fiction and magic.

¿Como conoci Hive?

Conocí Hive gracias a la comunidad de Ethereum Bolivia, durante mi participación en el Cripto Experience Summit 2025 - La Paz. Allí recibí lindos recuerdos como stickers y una pulsera de Hive.

También tuve la oportunidad de escuchar nuevamente a Arlette Salas en su participación como expositora en el Buildathon Ethereum 2025 en Santa Cruz, donde además participé en un Workshop de Hive.

Debo admitir que me sorprendió lo grande y activa que es esta comunidad. Estoy muy agradecida con quienes hicieron posible estas experiencias: Soyla Lotero, Arlette Salas y Gabriela, quienes compartieron sesiones muy completas y enriquecedoras.

How did I learn about Hive? I learned about Hive thanks to the Ethereum Bolivia community during my participation in the Crypto Experience Summit 2025 in La Paz. There, I received some nice souvenirs, such as stickers and a Hive bracelet. I also had the opportunity to hear Arlette Salas speak again at the Buildathon Ethereum 2025 in Santa Cruz, where I also participated in a Hive workshop. I must admit that I was surprised by how large and active this community is. I am very grateful to those who made these experiences possible: Soyla Lotero, Arlette Salas, and Gabriela, who shared very comprehensive and enriching sessions.
