Greetings to everyone in the Worldmappin community! Today I'm joining you here to share another tourist review. This time, it's about my visit to the Commercial and Professional Center, the location of Valencia's popular "Chinatown," and that (seeing the neighborhood) is precisely the reason for my visit. Although it's not a tourist spot per se (at least not in the strictest sense of the word), it is a busy space and famous for the variety of Chinese products that can only be found there. This is a great reason for people from all over the area, both Asian and Latin, to visit some of the stores to purchase new and special products. Here's a little bit about it.
The Commercial and Professional Center is located on Bolívar Avenue, across from the La Alegría bookstore and the Misia Crema pizzeria. It's also diagonally opposite the well-known Misael Delgado Soccer Stadium. It's a fairly busy avenue, as it's also close to some residential buildings and other smaller commercial buildings. The mall has two floors where you can find food stores (small grocery stores), clothing stores, hair salons, cosmetics stores, toy stores, a supermarket, and on Sundays they hold an open-air market. This open-air market sells vegetables, fruits, Asian vegetables, sweets, animals (in various forms such as pickled, marinated, raw, and more), as well as Chinese food. So there's no way you won't find that Asian object or food here.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Worldmappin! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes una nueva reseña turística. En esta ocasión se trata de mi visita al Centro Comercial y Profesional, lugar dónde reside el popular "Barrio Chino" de Valencia y es precisamente ese (ver el barrio) el motivo de mi visita. Aunque no es en si un lugar turístico (al menos por el estricto sentido de la palabra), si es un espacio bastante concurrido y famoso por la variedad de productos chinos que solo se pueden encontrar allí. Siendo entonces una gran razón para que personas de todo el alrededor, tanto asiáticas cómo latinas, se acerquen a algunas de las tiendas para adquirir productos novedosos y especiales. Aqui les muestro un poco al respecto.El Centro Comercial y Profesional se encuentra ubicado en la avenida Bolívar, frente a la librería la Alegría y la pizzería Misia Crema. También diagonal al conocido Estadio de Fútbol Misael Delgado. Siendo entonces una avenida más o menos concurrida pues también está cerca de algunos edificios residenciales y otros comerciales menores. El centro comercial cuenta con dos plantas dónde podremos encontrar tiendas de comida (pequeños abastos), tiendas de ropa, peluquerías, tiendas de cosméticos, jugueterías, un supermercado y los días domingos colocan un mercado al aire libre. Este mercado al aire libre ofrece la venta de verduras, frutas, hortalizas asiáticas, dulces, animales (en varias presentaciones cómo encurtidos, macerados, crudos y demás), así cómo también comida china. Así que no hay forma de que aquí no encuentres aquel objeto o comida asiática.
I visited the mall with my mother, who wanted to buy some products to cook at home because she loves everything related to Chinese food. So we went to a store where she often shops and there we looked for the original soy sauce (about a gallon), oyster sauce, ajinomoto, and a few other things. I don't really remember the names of some of these products; the good thing is that my mother knows them, or at least can guide herself by pictures. In case you're wondering, most stores have Spanish-speaking staff, so if you want to find something and don't know the name or how to find it, you can ask one of them. There are also staff who speak Mandarin or Cantonese. By the way, you'll notice that the prices are posted not only in the parallel currency, the dollar, but also in their own currency.
After about 45 years of this building's existence, it's clear that time has passed and that many things remain exactly as they were. It seems a bit like they've been left behind. However, it's inevitable to see that other things are changing. Some stores are trying to modernize, while others remain faithful to the style of the building. I particularly like this because coming here reminds me of the 2000s. Something about its aesthetic and the building's appearance brings me back to those years. Finally, I must say that whether it's out of curiosity, pleasure, or a real need to go to Chinatown, you can always count on not getting bored. You can easily spend an hour just browsing a store. Personally, I enjoy that quite a bit. Without further ado, thank you so much for being here.
El centro comercial lo visité junto a mi madre, quién deseaba comprar algunos productos para cocinar en su casa pues ella ama todo lo relacionado a la comida china. Así que entramos a un local dónde ella suele comprar con frecuencia y allí buscamos la salsa de soya original (cómo de un galón), salsa de ostras, ajinomoto y algunas cosas más. Realmente algunas de esos productos no les recuerdo el nombre, lo bueno es que mi mamá los conoce o al menos se guía con la imagen. Por si se lo preguntan, en la mayoría de locales está el personal que habla español, por lo que si deseas encontrar algo y no sabes el nombre o cómo ubicarlo puedes consultar con alguno de ellos. Así como también está el personal que habla mandarin o cantones. Por cierto, podrán notar que los precios no solo están publicado en la moneda paralela del dólar sino también la de ellos.Tras unos 45 años de existencia de este edificio, se nota que el tiempo ha pasado y que muchas cosas se mantienen tal y cómo de la época. Parece haberse quedado un poco en el tiempo. Sin embargo, es inevitable ver que otras cosas más van cambiando. Algunas tiendas intentan modernizarse y otras de mantienen fieles al estilo del edificio. Particularmente eso me gusta pues entrar aquí me recuerda a los años 2000. Algo en su estetica y forma de ser del edificio me trae un poco a aquellos años. Finalmente debo decir que ya sea por curiosidad, gusto o una necesidad real de ir al Barrio Chino, siempre podremos contar con que no te aburrirás. Fácilmente te puedes tomar una hora solo viendo alguna tienda. Personalmente disfruto eso bastante. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por aquí.
