Greetings to everyone in the Top Family community! Today I'm joining you to share a new photo for the TBT Thursday contest. If you'd like to participate, I'll be leaving the link at the end of this post. That said, let's get started.
Today's photo is from this year, 2025, when I traveled to Valencia to see my mom (and part of my family), and we took the opportunity to visit some important tourist spots in our city. During those days, I went with her or my stepfather to see the current exhibitions or simply tour the buildings, as I've always enjoyed exploring all those spaces in my home state. The photo was taken at the José Antonio Páez House Museum (located in Valencia's Historic Center), where we approached a mural by Pedro Castillo (painted by Arturo Michelena's grandfather) that is still preserved on the walls of the house's central courtyard. It's one of the reasons why the building is so attractive: its artistic legacy.
I like this photograph because the light was very good and you can see part of the mural, so it came out quite clear and with good detail. It also reminds me that, after those first visits to museums and houses, it's now become a habit to explore Valencia. As if it were a new family tradition. I just returned to Valencia, and although we didn't visit the same places as before, we did go out to explore others we hadn't been able to see together. Dicho esto, comencemos.La fotografía del día de hoy es de este mismo año 2025, cuando viaje a Valencia a ver a mi mamá (y parte de mi familia) y aprovechamos para visitar algunos lugares turísticos bastante importantes de nuestra ciudad. Para esos días me fui con ella o con mi padrastro para ver las exposiciones del momento o simplemente recorrer los edificios, pues a mí siempre me ha gustado recorrer todos esos espacios de mi estado. La fotografía fue tomada en la Casa Museo José Antonio Páez (ubicada en el Casco Histórico de Valencia), dónde nos acercamos a un mural de Pedro Castillo (realizado por el abuelo de Arturo Michelena) que aún se conserva en las paredes del patio central de la casa. Es uno de los motivos por los cuales también resulta atractivo el edificio; su legado artístico.Me gusta esta fotografía porque la entrada de luz era muy buena y se aprecia parte del mural, por lo que salió bastante nítida y con un buen detalle. Además de que me recuerda que a partir de esas primeras visitas a los museos y casas, se ha hecho ahora costumbre salir a recorrer Valencia. Cómo si se tratara de una nueva tradición familiar. Ahorita mismo volví a Valencia y aunque no visitamos los mismos sitios de antes, si hemos salido a recorrer otros más que no habiamos podido recorrer juntos. Creo que encontramos algo más en que coincidir con la familia. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
