Greetings to everyone in the Movies & TV Shows community! Today I'm joining you here to recommend three films by the same director. This time, it's the renowned producer, screenwriter, actor, and film director, Quentin Tarantino. These days, it's inevitable not to know him, as with his unique cinematic style, he has earned a reputation as one of the best film directors of our time. Tarantino is more than just a somewhat eccentric man. Whether you like it or not, his acquired love for cinema gave him a background that gradually allowed him to build a career in the world of cinema and, even more so, to achieve his own aesthetic that distinguishes him from others. And that's a highly prized asset for any artist. So, here are three of Tarantino's favorite films. Let's get started!

En esta oportunidad se trata del conocido Productor, Guionista, Actor y Director de Cine, Quentin Tarantino. En esta época es inevitable no conocerlo pues con su particular estilo cinematográfico, se ha hecho de una reputación cómo uno de los mejores directores de cine de nuestros tiempos. Tarantino es más que un hombre algo excéntrico, pues se quiera o no, su gusto adquirido por el cine le dió una formación que poco a poco le permitió construir una carrera en el mundo del cine y aún más; conseguir una estética propia que se distingue de otros. Y eso es un bien muy preciado por cualquier artista. Así que aquí les presento tres películas favoritas de Tarantino ¡comencemos!.
Death Proof (2007) with Robert Rodríguez:
Set in Texas, United States, the film focuses (initially) on a group of four girls sharing a conversation in a bar. There they meet Mike (played by Kurt Russell—acting like in "The Thing"), a former stuntman working for the film industry. Mike (nicknamed "Stuntman") approaches the girls, and they soon notice something strange about him, so they decide to continue on their way. However, they don't know that Mike is actually a psychopath hungry for adrenaline and fun. I put this film first because it's my favorite Tarantino film. Although the first scenes seem to move slowly and not lead anywhere in particular, it soon surprises with Mike's attack on the girls. There are also other things I'd rather not go into because it would take away from the charm of the whole thing. If you like the slasher, action, and thriller genres, "Death Proof" is the one for you.
Situado en Texas, Estados Unidos, la película se centra (en primera instancia) en un grupo de cuatro chicas que comparten una conversación en un bar. Allí conocen a Mike (interpretado por Kurt Russell -actuaciones cómo en "The Thing"-), un ex Doble de Riesgos que trabajaba para la industria del Cine. Mike (apodado cómo "Stuntman") aborda a las chicas y estas pronto notan algo extraño en él por lo que deciden seguir su camino en la carretera. Sin embargo, ellas no saben que Mike es en realidad un psicópata hambriento de adrenalina y diversión. Sitúo esta película en primer lugar porque es mi favorita de Tarantino. Aunque las primeras escenas parecen moverse lentamente y no avanzar hacia algo en particular, pronto sorprende con el ataque de Mike a las chicas. Además de otras cosas que prefiero no exponer porque le quitaría el encanto a todo. Si te gusta el género Slasher, Acción y Suspenso, "Death Proof" es la indicada.
Kill Bill: Volume I (2003) and Volume II (2004)
In a church in South Texas, "The Bride" (starring Uma Thurman), a pregnant young woman, is at her wedding rehearsal. She is soon gunned down by a group of professional assassins who annihilate her... apparently. Time passes, and after going through a coma, she wakes up in the hospital and realizes she's still alive, but she's lost her baby. From that moment on, she swears revenge against those who took her baby's life, the culprits being her former partners in crime: the Lethal Viper Assassination Squad. This film is a Tarantino classic; it has it all: action, suspense, fun, romance, cinematic nods (Uma's Bruce Lee-esque outfit), drama, and dark humor. It's not your typical revenge movie. If you haven't seen it yet, now's a good time.
En una iglesia ubicada al sur de Texas, se encuentra "La Novia"(protagonizada por Uma Thurman), una joven embarazada que se halla en el ensayo para el día de su boda. Pronto es abatida por un grupo de asesinos profesionales que la aniquilan... Aparentemente. Pasado el tiempo y después de atravesar un coma, ella despierta en el hospital y realiza que sigue con vida, pero que ha perdido a su bebé. A partir de ese momento ella jurara venganza en contra de quienes le arrebataron la vida a su bebé y siendo los culpables quienes fueran sus antiguos compañeros del crimen: El Escuadrón Asesino Víbora Letal. Esta película es un clásico de Tarantino, lo tiene todo; acción, suspenso, diversión, "romance", guiños de cine (el atuendo de Uma a lo Bruce Lee), drama y humor negro. No es la típica película de venganza. Si aún no la has visto, es un buen momento para hacerlo.
Pulp Fiction (1994)
The film consists of three intertwined stories: that of Vincent Vega (played by John Travolta), a thug who must take care of his boss's wife (Uma Thurman) for one night; that of Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis), a boxer going through a rough patch; and finally, that of Jules Winnfield (Samuel Jackson), another thug and partner of Vincent Vega who seems to find divine enlightenment. Loved by many and hated by others, "Pulp Fiction" has a natural appeal. Whether because it has established itself as a cult film or because it actually has a lot of merit in its own right. In any case, it's different and entertaining to watch. It contains action, dark humor, drama, suspense, and of course, plenty of violence.
La película consta de tres historias entrelazadas; la de Vincent Vega (protagonizado por John Travolta) un matón que debe cuidar a la esposa de su jefe (Uma Thurman) por una noche, la de Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) un boxeador que atraviesa una mala racha y por último, la de Jules Winnfield (Samuel Jackson) otro matón compañero de Vicent Vega que parece encontrar la iluminación divina. Amada por muchos y odiados por otros, "Pulp Fiction" tiene un atractivo natural. Ya sea porque se ha consagrado como una película de culto o porque bien sí tiene mucho de mérito propio. En todo caso, es diferente y entretenida de ver. Contiene acción, humor negro, drama, suspenso y por supuesto, mucha violencia.
Finally, my friends, these are three of my favorite Tarantino films. Opinions may vary, as there might even be a plus in citing "Inglourious Basterds" as the film that made the director famous, but these are mine. Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my post.
