Por fin llega el concurso mas bonito de todos ¡mi favorito! Ya son cinco años de esta actividad donde todos ponemos a prueba nuestro ingenio para presentar nuestras mejores obras. Y digo obras porque todo lo que hacemos aquí son obras de arte. Needleworkmonday cada año me sorprende, este año nos invitan a transportarnos en la moda de todos los tiempos, a dar un paseo por los años 60, 70, 80 y más. >Finally comes the most beautiful contest of all, my favorite! It's been five years of this activity where we all test our ingenuity to present our best works. And I say works because everything we do here are works of art. >Needleworkmonday surprises me every year, this year they invite us to transport us in the fashion of all times, to take a walk through the 60's, 70's, 80's and more.  Considero que la moda actual ha tomando un poquito de cada época y las ha transformado o adaptado con nuevos detalles para que la mujer y el hombre que le gusta vestir bien se sienta cómodo y seguro a la hora de vestir. >I believe that current fashion has taken a little bit of each era and has transformed or adapted them with new details so that women and men who like to dress well feel comfortable and confident when dressing.  Hoy les vengo a presentar este lindo vestido tipo sweter o jersey inspirado en la ciudad de New York, que aunque no lo conozco me gusta su moda. Siempre veo películas americanas y me llama la atención la ropa que usan para la temporada de otoño-invierno. Los vestidos tipo sweter o jersey son de mis favoritos, ya sea cuello alto o al hombro todo me gusta. >Today I come to present this cute sweater dress inspired by the city of New York, although I don't know it, I like its fashion. I always watch American movies and the clothes they use for the autumn-winter season catch my attention. The sweater or pullover dresses are one of my favorites, either turtleneck or off-the-shoulder, I like them all.  Como en años anteriores no fue fácil escoger un solo modelo para presentar en esta edición, recuerdo que antes de anoche no pude dormir porque mi cabeza se la paso diseñando, pensando no solo en el modelo sino también en los materiales, colores, accesorios, entre otros. Así que mientras mi esposo roncaba yo me la pase pensando en que técnica iba a usar. Tal vez sus ronquidos me inspiraron e hicieron que tomara la mejor decisión, jejejeje. >As in previous years it was not easy to choose a single model to present in this edition, I remember that before last night I could not sleep because my head was spent designing, thinking not only in the model but also in the materials, colors, accessories, among others. >So while my husband was snoring I was thinking about what technique I was going to use. Maybe his snoring inspired me and made me make the best decision, hehehehehe.  Trabajar con Barbie es algo que me encanta, ella es toda una muñeca y se deja vestir. Barbie permite que cualquier prenda se vea elegante, se vea cómoda, especial. >Working with Barbie is something I love, she is a doll and she lets herself be dressed. Barbie allows any garment to look elegant, to look comfortable, special.  Otro detalle que me inspiró hacer este vestido son las botas largas hasta mas arriba de la rodilla, me parece que permite que la mujer se vea chip y elegante. Las piernas de la mujer se ven mas delgadas y te permite ver mas alta; además si son de color oscuro es mucho mejor. ***CROCHET in 10 words*** >Another detail that inspired me to make this dress is the long boots above the knee, I think it allows the woman to look chip and elegant. >The woman's legs look slimmer and allows you to look taller; also if they are dark color is much better.  También he elaborado una linda boina en colores matizados que combina a la perfección con el azul rey del vestido. Es un look para toda ocasión, para ir de fiesta, para ir a tomar un vino con amigos o hasta para ir a la oficina un viernes y luego salir con tus compañeros de trabajo a tomar un vino. >I have also made a nice beret in shaded colors that matches perfectly with the royal blue of the dress. >It is a look for any occasion, to go to a party, to go for a wine with friends or even to go to the office on a Friday and then go out with your coworkers for a wine.  Otro detalle que me inspiro fue mi actriz favorita Cameron Diaz, ya que a ella siempre la recuerdo con sweter de lana como los que uso en la pelicula “El descanso” (mi peli favorita). >Another detail that inspired me was my favorite actress Cameron Diaz, because I always remember her wearing a wool sweater like the one she wore in the movie “The Break” (my favorite movie).  Y que les puedo decir de la técnica que he usado “Mi amado CROCHET” ella es la técnica mas noble que he conocido en toda mi vida, porque se deja llevar y te hace lograr lo inimaginable con tus manos. Es por eso que hoy junto con mi presentación he querido aprovechar para resaltar 10 palabras que resumen lo que siento cada vez que tomo lana y aguja. >And what can I say about the technique I have used “My beloved CROCHET” it is the noblest technique I have known in my life, because it lets you go and makes you achieve the unimaginable with your hands. >That's why today along with my presentation I wanted to take the opportunity to highlight 10 words that summarize what I feel every time I take wool and needle.  Y es que para mi el crochet no es solo una técnica mas, el crochet llego a mi vida hace 13 años desde entonces todo cambio para bien. Me encanta contar esa parte porque se puede decir que es reciente de mi aprendizaje y fue con el tiempo, con paciencia y constancia que pulí lo que había aprendido. >And for me crochet is not just another technique, crochet came into my life 13 years ago and since then everything has changed for the better. I love to tell that part because you can say that it is recent of my learning and it was with time, patience and perseverance that I polished what I had learned.  El crochet no se trata solo de crear piezas bonitas, es mas bien una puerta que se abre para encontrarte contigo mismo y descubrir una serie de emociones que abrazan y dan ternura a tu alma. >Crochet is not only about creating beautiful pieces, it is rather a door that opens to find yourself and discover a series of emotions that embrace and give tenderness to your soul.   Haz la prueba, te invito a tomar una aguja e hilo y veraz como el estrés se desvanece, la mente se aquieta y se abre a un mundo donde la creatividad resplandece en todo su esplendor. El crochet me hace sentir viva y me recuerda que constantemente que por mas difícil que parezca todo lo puedo si me lo propongo. Solo debes considerar dos cosas que la paciencia y la constancia son la base fundamental para que todo salga bien. >Do the test, I invite you to take a needle and thread and see how the stress fades away, the mind quiets down and opens to a world where creativity shines in all its splendor. Crochet makes me feel alive and constantly reminds me that no matter how difficult it may seem, I can do anything if I put my mind to it. You only have to consider two things that patience and constancy are the fundamental basis for everything to go well.
