# ***¡Tejer me da alas para volar a lugares increíbles!*** Tomar la aguja y el hilo es mi, momento para escapar y soñar en cosas lindas. Hoy quiero resaltar esto mas que nunca ya que recientemente se celebró en el mundo el día internacional del tejido a mano y aunque ya han pasado varios días no me podía quedar sin mi publicación para reconocer a todas aquellas mujeres y hombres que dedican horas a esta labor. ># ***Knitting gives me wings to fly to amazing places!*** >Taking the needle and thread is my moment to escape and dream of beautiful things. Today I want to highlight this more than ever because recently the international day of hand knitting was celebrated around the world and although several days have passed I could not stay without my publication to recognize all those women and men who dedicate hours to this work.  Ustedes y yo podemos compartir la emoción que se siente cada vez que tejemos un proyecto; porque entendemos el trabajo que hay detrás de cada elaboración, son horas dedicadas, son sentimientos de alegría cuando todo va bien y hasta rabia o susto cuando se nos olvida un punto y tenemos que destejer nuevamente. Ustedes y yo somos afortunados por tener como trabajo el hobby de nuestra vida. Demos gracias a Dios por darnos entendimiento y por darle a nuestras manos agilidad para tejer cada puntada. >You and I can share the emotion that we feel every time we knit a project; because we understand the work that is behind each elaboration, the hours dedicated, the feelings of joy when everything goes well and even anger or fear when we forget a stitch and we have to unknit again. >You and I are fortunate to have the hobby of our life as a job. >Let us thank God for giving us understanding and for giving our hands agility to knit each stitch.  Cada 13 de Julio se reconoce en todo el mundo a las tejedoras y tejedores también. Celebrar este día es reconocer su empeño y valorar cada tejido que hacen, ya sea con una aguja, con dos, con telar, con horquilla o con sus dedos. Una práctica que parecía muerta, pero contrario a eso ahora esta más viva que nunca. >Every July 13, knitters are recognized all over the world as well. To celebrate this day is to recognize their efforts and to value each weaving they do, whether with one needle, with two needles, with a loom, with a fork or with their fingers. A practice that seemed dead, but is now more alive than ever.  La celebración del día de la tejedora es una fiesta que recientemente se estableció, fue en el 2005 que una australiana Danielle landes se propuso celebrar este día en grande y se unió con un grupo de personas a tejer en público y desde allí hubo un despertar en las personas que conocían de este arte desde hace tiempo, pero tenían ese sentimiento allí dormido. Danielle Landes fomento este día el amor por el arte y el respeto por los que lo practican. >The celebration of the weaver's day is a holiday that was recently established, it was in 2005 that an Australian Danielle Landes proposed to celebrate this day in a big way and joined with a group of people to weave in public and from there there there was an awakening in people who knew about this art for a long time, but had that feeling there asleep. Danielle Landes promoted this day the love for the art and the respect for those who practice it.  Aunque se celebra en junio aquí en Venezuela lo celebramos el 13 de Julio como el día internacional de las tejedoras a mano. Así que hoy quiero expresar mi más sincera felicitación a todas las tejedoras, artesanas maravillosas de nuestra comunidad Needleworkmonday; pido a Que Dios las bendiga siempre y las ilumine. A la Virgen María le pido les conceda salud en todo su cuerpo para que sigan creando cosas maravillosas para ustedes, sus seres queridos o sus clientes. >Although it is celebrated in June, here in Venezuela we celebrate it on July 13 as the international day of hand weavers. >So today I want to express my most sincere congratulations to all the weavers, wonderful artisans of our Needleworkmonday community; I ask God to bless you always and enlighten you. I ask the Virgin Mary to grant you health throughout your body so that you may continue to create wonderful things for yourselves, your loved ones or your clients.
