# ***¿Cuál es una pequeña y sencilla alegría que siempre te alegra el día y por qué te hace feliz?*** >### ***What's one small, simple joy that consistently brightens your day, and why does it bring you happiness?*** --- Si hay algo que me alegra los días cada mañana son mis plantas, la naturaleza en toda su esencia me transporta a un lugar de paz, de tranquilidad; su aroma alimenta mis sentidos y llena mi cuerpo de AMOR para empezar el día agradeciendo primeramente a Dios. >If there is one thing that brightens my days every morning, it is my plants. Nature in all its essence transports me to a place of peace and tranquility; their aroma nourishes my senses and fills my body with LOVE to start the day, first thanking God.  Cada mañana abro mis ventanas y tengo la fortuna de ver la montaña del Ávila, frondosa, verde, el cielo abierto, sus nubes, las aves. Voy a la cocina y monto la olla para hacer el café y mientras tanto voy a saludar a mis matas con el agua que las alimenta y mientras las riego se me alegra el espíritu, hablo con ellas y las acaricio porque son bellas y alegran mi día con tan solo verlas. >Every morning I open my windows and am fortunate to see the lush, green Ávila mountain, the open sky, its clouds, and the birds. >I go to the kitchen and put the pot on to make coffee, and in the meantime, I go to greet my plants with the water that nourishes them. As I water them, my spirit is lifted. I talk to them and caress them because they are beautiful and brighten my day just by looking at them.  Monto las respectivas arepas para mi esposo y mi hijo Fabian que salen a trabajar y mientras se cocinan yo salgo con una buena taza de café recién colado para sentarme, aunque sea por breve instante junto a ellas y detallar quien creció más, quien necesita abono, o quien tiene un nuevo retoño. >I prepare the respective arepas for my husband and my son Fabian, who are leaving for work, and while they are cooking, I go out with a nice cup of freshly brewed coffee to sit down, even if only for a brief moment, next to them and see which one has grown the most, which one needs fertilizer, or which one has a new sprout.  Hace tres días limpie las hojas de mi planta de Samia o mata de la prosperidad, me encanta verlas brillantes y limpias para que adornen mi camino de entrada a la casa. Hoy no había muy buen sol para tomarles fotos, pero pronto haré una sesión de fotos de todo mi jardín, se los prometo. >Three days ago, I cleaned the leaves of my Samia plant, or prosperity plant. I love to see them shiny and clean, decorating my driveway. >Today the sun wasn't shining brightly enough to take pictures, but soon I'll do a photo shoot of my entire garden, I promise.  Yo crecí en medio de un jardín inmenso, mi madre y mi padre nos criaron en una finca y la casa estaba rodeada de inmensas montañas; los jardines de mi madre siempre han sido repletos de plantas de todas las especies y de todos los colores, de allí definitivamente es mi amor y pasión por las plantas. >I grew up in the middle of a huge garden. My mother and father raised us on a farm, and the house was surrounded by immense mountains. My mother's gardens have always been full of plants of all species and colors, which is definitely where my love and passion for plants comes from.  Si estoy en higuerote, en la casa de la playa también trato de sembrar de todo lo que puedo y recientemente pude ver el fruto de mi esfuerzo con una palma de coco que ya por fin después de 5 años de sembrada nos dejo ver sus primeros frutos; eso no tiene precio, esa alegría que se siente de ver que la intensión que tuviste cuando la sembraste, ese sueño o visión por fin se materializo. >Whether I'm in Higuerote or at the beach house, I also try to plant everything I can, and recently I was able to see the fruits of my labor with a coconut palm that, after five years of planting, finally bore its first fruits. That feeling of joy when you see that the intention you had when you planted it, that dream or vision, has finally come true, is priceless.  Así que este donde quiera que este, sea la casa de mi madre, de mi suegra, apartamento o casa de la playa, siempre busco un jardín, siempre busco agradecer a Dios entre ellas, agradecer por un nuevo día, por el milagro de nacer. >So wherever I am, whether it's my mother's house, my mother-in-law's house, an apartment, or a beach house, I always look for a garden, I always look to thank God among them, to give thanks for a new day, for the miracle of being born.  Mi familia es lo segundo, verlos despertar, verlos salir y pedir la bendición, tomarnos un café juntos claro que ellos son también importantes para mí, pero siempre en casa la primera que se levanta soy yo y para acompañarme y saludarme cada día están mis plantas, sus flores, aromas y colores, por eso a ellas les dedico hoy esta sentida y humilde publicación. >My family comes second. Seeing them wake up, seeing them leave and asking for a blessing, having coffee together... Of course, they are also important to me, but at home, I am always the first to get up, and my plants, their flowers, aromas, and colors are there to accompany me and greet me every day.
