Sun came out after a week of rain. Plan for the day is to get out for a bush walk. Train to Mt Colah a day then walk into Ku-ring Gai Chase NP

Was looking for spring orchids - signs of orchids past
Grey spider greviilea. Long walk down one side track - was hoping to find caladenia orchids - none

Found a budding sun orchid - last year there were flowers already at this time

Stopped to check a noise - looked up - snake orchid up a tree in a typical spot. Just above where the escarpment drops off

Chose to walk back to Asquith station rather than go back to Mt Colah. Empty house on a cut through alley going down to the Asquith Golf Course
Asquith golf course busy on a nice dsy for golf - dry and no wind
Was asked to share photos of trains - the current range of commuter trains
Completes another station to station walk. The exit from the NP is about equidistant - next time will take the bicycle
Stopped for shopping on the way home
Did cook dinner for myself. Jazzed up left overs. Wife sick from anti-biotics
