A different day lining up. Going to visit my wife's brother for his birthday - a big drive to the other side of Sydney. Waited for her son and grandson to get to our place before the drive. Also meeting my wife's brother and partner out there
My job - set up the DVD player he got as a oresent. A good step forward in his new place since his Dad died. Can now watch DVDs. Was able to get it working - not ideal as he has to know to move the rocker switch between 1 and 3. Good news is the DVD runs off the power source for the Wii. Good chance is one of the two devices will start up. Watch or play.
Ollie took a while to warm up to his uncle. Chocolate bribes from Paul's stash did the work. The visit was important for Paul - the most family in one place since his Dad died
Back home and not a lot of steps done. Went on a loop walk to walk around to buy beer. One of the old houses on the loop
I heard the lorikeets first in this tree - they were chasing the nectar on the bottle brushes - a few photos with the normal phone. Something in focus in each flower
Seems like the leaves get more attention than the spikes. What I do know is the lorikeets were too fast for photos against the light

One of the old houses - looks pretty run down. No cars in driveway but there was a window upstairs and a car did drive in just after I walked past - an elderly lady
Helped a young couple find the train replacement buses - not in their normal place. Google was not helping them
Did the shopping. Cooked dinner - BBQ and chips. Got some carbo-loading to do before tomorrow's Cancer Council 7 Bridges walk. Been a long while since I have walked 28 kms in a day.
