Friendship in the Forest: Verdarox and the Beetle 🪲🐲

Muy buenas noches, querida comunidad de Holozing! 🌙✨ Espero que estén disfrutando de un hermoso fin de semana. Como siempre, les mando un cálido saludo deseándoles bienestar en cada paso que den. Hoy paso por aquí con el corazón contento, porque quiero compartir con ustedes una nueva ilustración con la que quise seguir contando una linda historia, una escena con el pequeño dragón Verdarox y su inseparable amiguito, el escarabajo. Ambos comparten una jugosa fruta bajo la luz encantada del bosque, y este momento se convirtió para mí en un espacio de calma y narrativa visual. Today I stop by with a happy heart, because I want to share with you a new illustration with which I wanted to continue telling a cute story, a scene with the little dragon Verdarox and his inseparable little friend, the beetle. Both share a juicy fruit under the enchanted light of the forest, and this moment became for me a space of calm and visual narrative. Empecé dibujando el bocetado donde Verdarox y el escarabajo estuvieran juntos. Quise que ambos estuvieran muy cerca, compartiendo un momento sin distracciones. Me enfoqué en sus gestos, no solo por la fruta, sino por su expresión. Me concentré en el en los tonos verde del dragón y en su amiguito. El escarabajo lo coloreé con varios tonos verdes unos mas fríos y otros mas cálidos y más brillantes, para diferenciarlo visualmente pero mantener la armonía del conjunto. >I started drawing the sketch where Verdarox and the beetle were together. I wanted them both to be very close, sharing a moment without distractions. I focused on their gestures, not only for the fruit, but for their expression. I concentrated on the green tones of the dragon and his little friend. I colored the beetle with various shades of green, some cooler and others warmer and brighter, to differentiate it visually but maintain the harmony of the whole. ||| |---|---| |||| ||| |---|---| ||||

Usé pinceles suaves para las sombras generales, pero agregué pequeños toques con pinceles más texturizados para reflejos y el caparazón del escarabajo. La luz que se filtra por el bosque la traté como protagonista silenciosa definiendo el ambiente sin ser demasiado intensa. Para Verdarox trabajé capa por capa, usando pinceles de textura que simulan escamas sutiles. Apliqué diferentes modos de fusión en las capas para lograr profundidad y también iluminación en algunas zonas. También decoré la fruta con pequeños brillos para que luciera jugosa y especial. >I used soft brushes for the general shadows, but added small touches with more textured brushes for reflections and the beetle's shell. The light filtering through the forest I treated it as a silent protagonist defining the environment without being too intense. For Verdarox I worked layer by layer, using textured brushes that simulate subtle scales. I applied different blending modes on the layers to achieve depth and also lighting in some areas. I also decorated the fruit with small glitters to make it look juicy and special. ||| |---|---| |||| ||| |---|---| ||||

Ajusté contrastes, suavicé bordes que estaban muy marcados, y añadí detalles finos como reflejos en los ojos, algunas hojitas sueltas y pequeñas marcas de tierra bajo las patas de Verdarox. Este amiguito ocupa un lugar especial en mi galería, no solo por cómo luce, sino por sus colores y la esencia que representa. Les deseo una noche hermosa y llena de descanso. >I adjusted contrasts, softened edges that were too sharp, and added fine details such as reflections in the eyes, some loose leaves and small dirt marks under Verdarox's paws. This little friend has a special place in my gallery, not only for how he looks, but for his colors and the essence he represents. I wish you a beautiful and restful night. ||| |---|---| ||||
