Greetings, friends of the #LadiesofHive community. In this week's edition, we are invited to reflect on the questions posed by our dear @jane1289. Here is my contribution:

1. If you had the opportunity, what kind of business would you like to start and why?

Looking back a little, my daughter and I worked on preparing and selling homemade desserts, highlighting the delicious flavour of these sweets in the recipes, using quality ingredients and taking care with the presentation and design. 

New challenges

As a new challenge, it was a venture we undertook at our residence. I was participating in a sales group on WhatsApp, and from there we advertised with videos as a strategy to attract customers. All this while analysing the market, according to the number of orders and the preparation of these delicious desserts, which was every four days, taking into account freshness and the fact that they needed time to cool according to the amount we sold daily and, most importantly, to please the palate and delight the eye with the variety of sweets to offer customers. We also purchased ingredients every fortnight, keeping track of expenses to establish a profit record according to our investment capacity. So if I had the opportunity to start a business, based on my knowledge and experience, it would be a patisserie. That way I could turn my baking skills into a successful business. 

2.Are you more motivated by passion, profit or independence?

I think that the dynamism, impulsiveness, energy, drive and passion that motivate me as a woman are really attractive to most people. In general, they tend to be a good indicator of high self-esteem, as dynamic, independent women who have the energy to take on new and exciting challenges are always attractive.

Wide range of opportunities

For example, baking is the art of creating sweets and encompasses a wide variety of techniques, ingredients, and preparations. Starting a baking business offers a wide range of opportunities if I want to explore my passion for desserts and generate additional income that allows me to save for financial goals and supplement my salary. I would also like to offer a specialised catering service for desserts or cold cakes, sweets, pastries, mini desserts and other treats for events such as weddings, corporate parties or social gatherings. I believe there is an option for every entrepreneur. 

Paradigm shifts and turning my gaze inward

I believe that reaching middle age as an independent person, in my case as a retired university employee, is not something random or a matter of luck, but rather the result of many years of personal and inner work that involves breaking down beliefs, changing paradigms, and above all, looking inward to recognise what I believe limits me and being open to new experiences and a more positive mindset. In particular, if I have set my sights on something, I need to fight for it, fight to achieve it. That not only helps me as a person, working hard and with enthusiasm, giving more than 100 per cent in everything I do, with a little love, but also helps me see that everything will work out beautifully. Having an attitude of complaining about everything will speak very poorly of me. On the contrary, I can be kind and understanding to the people around me. I firmly believe that asking for divine guidance, with wisdom to make decisions, skill for tasks, and the opening of doors to gain clients and prosperity, will greatly help us to face challenges with faith and hope, trusting in God for success and blessing in our endeavours. Saludos amigos de la comunidad #LadiesofHive, con la edición que nos traen esta semana, donde nos invitan a reflexionar con las preguntas de nuestra estimada @ jane1289, a continuación les presento mi participación:

1.Si tuvieras la oportunidad, ¿qué tipo de negocio te gustaría montar y por qué?

Echando un poco la vista atrás, mi hija y yo trabajábamos preparando y vendiendo postres caseros, resaltando el delicioso sabor de estos dulces en las recetas, utilizando ingredientes de calidad y cuidando la presentación y el diseño. 

Nuevos retos

Como un nuevo reto, fue un emprendimiento que realizamos en nuestra residencia, estuve participando en un grupo de ventas por WhatsApp y desde allí hacíamos la publicidad con videos como una estrategia de captar los clientes. Todo ello analizando el mercado, de acuerdo a la cantidad de pedidos y la elaboración de estos deliciosos postres, era cada cuatro días, tomando en cuenta la frescura y que necesitaban su tiempo de refrigerio de acuerdo a la cantidad que vendíamos diariamente y lo más importante complacer el paladar y deleitar la vista con la variedad de dulces para ofrecer a los clientes. Así como también, cada quince días hacíamos las compras de los ingredientes, llevando un control de los gastos, para establecer un récord de ganancias de acuerdo a nuestra capacidad de inversión. Entonces si tuviera la oportunidad de montar un negocio, basado en mis conocimientos y experiencia, sería una pastelería. Así podría convertir mis habilidades pasteleras en un negocio de éxito. 

2.¿Te ves más motivado por la pasión, el beneficio o la independencia?

Creo que el dinamismo, impulsividad, energía, empuje y pasión que me motiva como mujer, es algo realmente atractivo para la mayoría de la gente. Por lo general, suele ser un buen indicador de la buena autoestima, pues siempre resulta atractiva la mujer dinámica e independiente, la que tiene energía para nuevos y grandes retos.

Amplia gama de oportunidades

Por ejemplo, la repostería, es el arte de crear dulces y abarca una gran variedad de técnicas, ingredientes y preparaciones. Emprender en repostería ofrece una amplia gama de oportunidades si deseo explorar mi pasión por los postres y generar ingresos adicionales que me permitan ahorrar para metas financieras y completar mi salario. Además me gustaría ofrecer el servicio o catering especializado en postres o tortas frías, dulces, pasteles, mini postres y otras golosinas para eventos como bodas, fiestas corporativas o reuniones sociales, creo que hay una opción para cada emprendedor. 

Cambio de paradigmas y volver la mirada hacia mi interior

Pienso que llegar a la edad madura de la juventud, siendo una persona independiente, en mi caso forma parte del personal Jubilada de una Universidad, no es algo al azar ni producto de la suerte, sino de un trabajo personal e interior de muchos años que implica derribar creencias, cambiar paradigmas, y sobre todo voltear a mirarme para reconocer lo que creo que me limita y estar abierta a nuevas experiencias y con una mentalidad más positiva. En particular, si he puesto mis ojos en algo, necesito luchar por ello, luchar por lograrlo, eso no sólo me ayuda como persona, trabajar con ahínco y con ganas, entregando más del cien por ciento en todo cuanto hago, con un poco de amor y ver que todo funcionará hermosamente bien. Tener la actitud de andar quejándome por todo hablará muy mal de mí. Al contrario, puedo ser amable y comprensiva con las personas que tengo a mi alrededor. Creo firmemente que pedir guía divina, con sabiduría para tomar decisiones, habilidad para las tareas, y la apertura de puertas para conseguir clientes y prosperidad, nos ayudará en gran manera para afrontar desafíos con fe y esperanza, confiando en Dios, para el éxito y la bendición en el emprendimiento.
