Dear Hive community

It’s been a long time since we last shared an update, and for that, we owe you an explanation. We want to tell you what happened with the #Web3 Hub Project and why we haven’t been able to move forward with our philanthropy plans just yet. We’ll keep this simple and heartfelt, so you can understand the journey we’ve been on.

The Vision Behind the Web3 Hub Project

The #HiveHub Project was born from a big dream: to inspire and educate young people about the exciting possibilities of Web3 #technology. We believe that the youth of today are the future of Hive and the broader Web3 world. By teaching kids early about blockchain, decentralization, and the opportunities Web3 offers, we hoped to plant seeds for a brighter, more innovative tomorrow.

The team behind this project was passionate and dedicated. We worked hard to create a #classroom that kids would love—a fun, colorful space where they’d be excited to learn. We set up everything we needed, from supplies to technology. We even managed to get the most affordable and reliable internet connection available in Venezuela, which was no small feat! Everything was ready to go, and we were so close to launching our classes.

What Went Wrong

But then, life threw us a curveball. Just as we were putting the final touches on the classroom, two major events disrupted our plans: #school vacations and the national elections in #Venezuela. These events brought everything to a standstill.

During the vacations, we couldn’t finish painting the classroom walls with the cool, creative designs we had planned. Then, the elections made it impossible for us to even access the school. We waited patiently, hoping things would settle down after the elections were over.

But when the elections ended and President Maduro was declared the winner, everything changed. The government instructed the school to shut down our project completely. They told us we were no longer allowed to use the classroom or continue our work there. Just like that, our dream was stopped in its tracks.

Starting over at another school wasn’t a simple solution. Given the political climate, we realized that trying the same project elsewhere could lead to the same heartbreaking outcome. It was a tough moment for all of us. Our #project, which had so much potential and so much love poured into it, was forced to end.

A Heartfelt Thank You and an Apology

We want to take a moment to thank every single person who supported the Web3 Hub Project and especially a big thank you to you @acidyo and your team for believing in what we wanted to acheave. Your encouragement, contributions, and belief in our vision meant the world to us. We’re deeply sorry for the delay in sharing this update and for the way things turned out. We know many of you were excited about this project, and we feel the weight of letting you down.

Looking Ahead with Hope

While the Web3 Hub Project didn’t go as planned, this isn’t the end of our journey. We’re still passionate about philanthropy and about spreading the word about #Hive and Web3. We’re determined to find a new way to move forward. Whether it’s a new location, a different approach, or a fresh idea, we’re confident that we’ll find the right place to start over and keep promoting the values and opportunities of Web3.

The road ahead may have challenges, but we’re not giving up. The dream of empowering young people and building a stronger Hive #community is still alive in our hearts. We hope you’ll continue to support us as we explore new possibilities and work to make a positive impact.

Thank you for standing by us, and we promise to keep you updated as we take our next steps.

With gratitude, Team CBRS
