Pilar Beach: A hidden paradise between Dunes [Eng][Esp]

Good morning to all the members of this beautiful community. Today I come with my first post in this great community of travelers. I hope you like this first of many adventures.

I present a place full of peace, tranquility and history: Pilar Beach. The beach where the buccaneers anchored their ships in search of refuge and that later was inspiration for the famous writer Ernest Hemingway in works such as "Islands in the Gulf" and "The Old Man and the Sea".

Let's start this trip at the beginning, as the title says Pilar Beach is a hidden paradise between Dunes, the Dunes are in other words small mountains of sand that were created due to the phenomenon of the withdrawal of the sea, which left this sand exposed to the sun and when it dried it became these beautiful natural Dunes that the authorities of the country have been responsible for preserving and repopulating with the most abundant flora and fauna of the coastal area. As you can see, above the dunes there is a floating bridge or footbridge, as it is well known, which gives access from the road to the beach as a means of protection for the conservation of these.

Going into this trip, we find a set of floating wooden constructions above the dunes consisting of: a viewpoint, a ranchón, a restaurant, bathrooms and a bar. Constituting these establishments for the comfort and convenience of customers and tourists who visit this natural beauty.

And here I finally present to you the best kept secret of these marvelous Dunes: the most beautiful natural paradise in Cuba and I would modestly say even in the Caribbean, he, he, he, he. In addition, it is considered one of the 25 best beaches in the world in the list published in the Chilean newspaper Mercurio. Pilar Beach is a beach made up of the whitest, finest and purest sand that could be appreciated, with crystalline waters that reach the point of being even transparent, composed of blue-greenish tones.

In the background, the horizon that looks like an eternal kiss between the sea and the sky. Going into the sea we can find the second largest coral reef of the continent, formed by the most beautiful coral formations and a variety of impressive fish. We traveled there in one of the tourist attractions that the beach has, which is the Catamaran trip, what I could not bring you pictures of that immersion and unparalleled and wonderful experience due to the health of my cell phone, ha, ha, ha😅.

And while we are on the subject of tourist attractions, there are many. There are the catamarans, the canoes and the water bikes, all provided by the nautical club on the beach. But the two most impressive attractions are the Glass Bottom Boat and the huge Catamaran they are so enormously impressive, never better said, that their presence imposes.

This adventure has been one of my favorites, as I am a photographer and since I decided to do it, I appreciate and see everything from a different perspective. Pilar Beach is a wonderful photographic journey.

This is particularly my favorite beach, here you can find the children enjoying themselves to the fullest running along the shore and making sand castles, feeling the freedom coming out of the pores of their skin.

The sensations are unique, when you touch the sand of the beach with your feet you get a unique energy, you feel the freedom in your veins, you breathe: peace, purity and happiness in its fullest splendor. A beach to rest, relax and feel life in its maximum glory.

A paradisiacal adventure not to be missed. If you visit Cuba, be sure to visit Pilar Beach, which is a unique and inexplicable experience. Don't let them tell you about it, come and see it for yourself, you won't regret it. Playa Pilar: Un paraíso escondido entre Dunas

Buenos días a todos los miembros de esta hermosa comunidad. Hoy vengo con mi primer post en esta gran comunidad de viajeros. Espero que les guste esta primera de muchas aventuras. 

Les presento un lugar lleno de paz, tranquilidad e historia: Playa Pilar. La playa donde los bucaneros anclaban sus barcos en busca de refugio y que posteriormente fue inspiración para el famoso escritor Ernest Hemingway en obras como "Islas en el Golfo" y "El Viejo y el Mar".

Vamos a comenzar este viaje por el principio, como bien dice el título Playa Pilar es un paraíso escondido entre Dunas, las Dunas son en otras palabras pequeñas montañas de arena que se fueron creando debido al fenómeno de la retirada del mar, que dejó expuesta esta arena al sol y al secarse se fue convirtiendo en estas hermosas Dunas naturales que en las autoridades del país se han encargado de conservar y repoblar con la flora y fauna más abundante y propia de la zona costera. Como pueden apreciar, por encima de las Dunas se conforma un puente flotante o pasarela, como bien se le conoce, que da acceso desde la carretera a la playa como medio de protección para la conservación de estas.

Adentrándonos en este viaje, nos encontramos con un conjunto de construcciones de madera flotantes por encima de las Dunas conformadas por: un mirador, un ranchón, un restaurante, unos baños y un bar. Constituyendo estos establecimientos para el confort y la comodidad de los clientes y turistas que visitan esta belleza natural.

Y aquí les presento por fin el secreto mejor guardado de estas maravillosas Dunas: el paraíso natural más hermoso de Cuba y yo diría modestamente que hasta del Caribe, he, he, he. Además, está considerada una de las 25 mejores playas del mundo en el listado publicado en el diario Mercurio de Chile. Playa Pilar es una playa conformada por la arena más blanca, fina y pura que se pudiera apreciar, con aguas cristalinas que llegan al punto de ser hasta transparentes, compuesta por tonos azulados-verdosos.

Al fondo, el horizonte que parece un beso eterno entre el mar y el cielo. Internándonos en el mar podemos encontrar la segunda mayor barrera coralina del Continente, conformada por las formaciones coralinas más hermosas y una variedad de peces impresionantes. Hasta allí viajamos en una de las atracciones turísticas que posee la playa, que es el viaje en Catamarán, lo que no pude traerles fotografías de esa inmersión y experiencia inigualable y maravillosa por salud de mi celular, ha, ha, ha😅.

Y ya que tocamos el tema de las atracciones turísticas, les cuento que hay muchas. Están los catamaranes, las canoas y las bicicletas acuáticas, todo suministrado por el club náutico de la playa. Pero las dos atracciones más impresionantes son el Barco del Fondo de Cristal y el enorme Catamarán son tan enormemente impresionantes, nunca mejor dicho, que su presencia impone.

Esta aventura ha sido una de mis favoritas, pues soy fotógrafa y desde que decidí hacerlo, aprecio y veo cada cosa desde una perspectiva diferente. Playa Pilar es un viaje fotográfico maravilloso.

Particularmente es mi playa favorita, aquí te puedes encontrar a los niños disfrutando al máximo corriendo por la orilla y haciendo castillos de arena, sintiendo la libertad saliéndose por los poros de la piel. 

Las sensaciones son únicas, al tocar la arena de la playa con los pies te sube una energía única, sientes la libertad en las venas, respiras: paz, pureza y la felicidad en su más pleno esplendor. Una playa para descansar, relajarse y sentir la vida en su máxima gloria.

Toda una aventura paradisíaca de la que no se pueden perder. Si visitan Cuba no dejen de visitar Playa Pilar, que es una experiencia única e inexplicable. No dejen que se los cuenten, vengan y vívanlo en propia carne, no se van a arrepentir.
