*"El Rompimiento" una magnífica obra de teatro/"El Rompimiento", a magnificent play*
Que tal, Hivers. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes parte de una obra que asistí en esta semana, La obra se llama “El Rompimiento” la cual estaba dirigida por la profesora “Yelitza Sucre” y un gran elenco de actores con un gran talento. La noche fue especial desde el inicio por el factor de ver a tus amigos dar vida a los personajes. Conocer su esfuerzo y dedicación previa le da un matiz de orgullo y emoción a cada escena. El elenco, perfectamente equilibrado con tres hombres y tres mujeres (un total de 6 personajes), logró una dinámica vibrante y humorística.
Hey, Hivers. Today I want to share with you part of a play I saw this week. The play is called “El Rompimiento” (The Breakup), directed by Professor Yelitza Sucre and featuring a talented cast of actors. The night was special from the start because of the factor of seeing your friends bring the characters to life. Knowing their previous effort and dedication adds a touch of pride and excitement to each scene. The cast, perfectly balanced with three men and three women (a total of six characters), achieved a vibrant and humorous dynamic.
La obra se centró en el clásico y divertido tema de la doble (o triple) vida amorosa del protagonista. La tensión y el humor se construyeron magistralmente sobre la base de sus mentiras: Vimos al galán (uno de tus amigos) en acción, esforzándose por cortejar a la joven muchacha de la casa con galanteos y verborrea. El clímax del enredo llegó con la inesperada visita de la hermana de su otra enamorada. Esta coincidencia forzosa elevó inmediatamente la comedia, mientras el protagonista luchaba por mantener las dos historias separadas en el mismo espacio y como si fuera poco, la gota que derramó el vaso fue el reconocimiento por parte del sirviente de la casa. Al ser este el hermano de la tercera mujer a la que el joven cortejaba, el triángulo amoroso se hizo visiblemente un polígono de engaños.
> The play focused on the classic and entertaining theme of the protagonist's double (or triple) love life. The tension and humor were masterfully built on the basis of his lies: We saw the heartthrob (one of your friends) in action, striving to woo the young girl of the house with gallantry and smooth talk. The climax of the entanglement came with the unexpected visit of the sister of his other lover. This forced coincidence immediately elevated the comedy, as the protagonist struggled to keep the two stories separate in the same space. To make matters worse, the last straw was the recognition by the servant of the house. As he was the brother of the third woman the young man was courting, the love triangle became visibly a polygon of deception.

La energía de mis amigos en el escenario fué palpable durante el momento del descubrimiento de la mentira. La obra culminó con el esperado y justo "rompimiento" del compromiso y el desalojo del joven embustero de la casa de la muchacha. La reacción del público ante el final de la picaresca obra fué de risas y aplausos.

> The energy of my friends on stage was palpable when the lie was discovered. The play culminated with the expected and just “breakup” of the engagement and the eviction of the young liar from the girl's house. The audience's reaction to the end of the picaresque play was laughter and applause.

Más allá de la trama, lo más gratificante fue ver a tus amigos brillar. Su trabajo, esfuerzo y la química en el escenario hicieron que una obra tradicional se sintiera fresca y muy entretenida. Fue una celebración del teatro venezolano y del talento.
