Our Mini Adventure: Check-Up, Coffee, and Good Food

Greetings to everyone here! I hope you are all doing fine. I’m sharing with you today about the time we went to the clinic for my boyfriend’s check-up, and afterwards, we went to a very nice restaurant.

It’s always nice to spend time with your partner and explore different places and restaurants.

My boyfriend had a schedule at Ulm Hospital because of his broken jaw. It was about an hour or two drive from home. We woke up early and had breakfast first, then off we went! We enjoyed the view while driving, exchanged conversations, and played some music. When we arrived, it was so cold, so we went straight to the doctor’s area. He went inside when it was his turn, and I waited outside patiently. It didn’t take long — maybe about an hour, before we headed back to the parking area and decided where to go next.

We went to Münsterplatz, the main square in the city of Ulm, Germany. I saw the world’s tallest church tower, called the Ulm Minster — one of the city’s most popular landmarks. As we walked around, we looked for and grabbed our favorite Starbucks coffee. We ordered our favorite Caramel Macchiato and Iced White Chocolate Mocha. I was so happy when I saw cinnamon on the side — I got to sprinkle it on my drink myself! I really love cinnamon in my coffee. We walked around while sipping our drinks, looking at the stores and people around the area.

Then we decided to look for a restaurant to eat. We found a German restaurant called Restaurant Zur Lochmühle. It had a very nice ambience by a small river, so you could really enjoy eating while listening to the sound of the flowing water. I ordered my favorite Spätzle, while he had salad and soft food since he still can’t eat properly because of his broken jaw. The serving was huge, and I couldn’t even finish it! We were so full because the food was really good!

Then we took a little walk to enjoy our time together since it’s been a long time since we had a date. I always love how beautiful Germany is, from the house structures and clean surroundings to the good food and kind people. Everything feels so different to me, but I love experiencing and exploring this other side of myself.

This day was so unforgettable. Every time we’re together, I feel so special no matter what the situation is. During this time, I was taking care of him, as the doctor said his condition needs to be monitored because it also affects his breathing. He has screws and rubber bands inside his mouth to keep his jaw intact and help it heal properly. In times like this, I know he needs me and I’m truly thankful that even with what he’s going through, he never forgets to show how much he values me and our relationship.

So, thank you very much dear hivers for appreciating my story today! Stay kind.
