Friendships last long when built with good friends and pure intentions.

Hi, dear Hivers! I hope you’re all having a great weekend. Today, I’ll be sharing about a fun weekend I had with my college friends. We haven’t seen each other for quite a while because of our busy work schedules — sometimes it’s hard to find time, and some already have their own families.
It was a Saturday night when we planned to meet up in BGC, High Street. I met up with Carlo and Leds at Din Tai Fung, a famous Taiwanese restaurant. As soon as I arrived, I hugged them both — and of course, I got to see Leds’ baby again! I met him when he was just a baby, and now he’s already one year old.
The moment I arrived, it was all fun and laughter as we started chatting. We stood outside the restaurant for a while, checking what to eat. Since it was the weekend, there were a lot of people waiting in line. Then our turn came, so we went inside. We were seated at a big table with a high chair prepared for the baby. As soon as we sat down, the waiter asked if we wanted an appetizer. She showed us about five kinds, and though we were a bit hesitant to order, Carlo decided to try one called Seaweed & Beancurd Salad.

One by one, our orders started arriving. Of course, we had their very famous Xiao Long Bao, Chicken & Mushroom Buns, Chicken Fried Rice, Pork Chop Fried Rice, Choco Lava Buns, and many more. For drinks, we ordered their Classic Iced Tea and Signature Din Tai Fung Rose Tea.

When all the food was served, we started eating while keeping an eye on Leds’ baby, because anything he could reach, he would immediately throw!😄 We had to be careful, but it added to the fun. The food was really delicious, and we all loved everything we ordered. Good food paired perfectly with our endless conversations about life.

After dinner, we decided to go for a walk. We stopped by the Apple Store to check out the newly released iPhone 17.😆 Leds wanted to buy a new phone but hasn’t decided yet which one to get. After that, we went to The Coffee Bean to chat and spend more time together. It was such a relaxing moment inside the café — we enjoyed our coffee while the baby was comfortably resting in the cool air. We stayed there for quite some time until Leds and her family decided to head home and booked a Grab.

But Carlo and I decided to stay a little longer to chill and walk around. We ended up staying out late — almost until 2 a.m. Just like the old days when we used to hang out. We really missed this kind of bonding and it helps us unwind and de-stress.

This was a fun-filled night full of laughter and joy. There’s always something new whenever we see each other, but the friendship remains the same.
