Hey Dear Hivers and @worldmappin fam! It’s me again, Ces, and I’m here to share one unforgettable summer experience at Lake Constance. This was such a fun-filled adventure with my loved one and his friends!
It was summer in Germany when I visited it was the month of June. My boyfriend and his best friend decided to go sailing for the weekend. I was so excited when I heard about it because not only would I get to experience sailing for the first time, but we would also be sailing on Lake Constance, the largest lake in Germany! This was truly another great experience and an achievement in my life — definitely one for the books!
And then the day finally came. We went to Lindau Insel by motorbike, bringing all our things with us. When we arrived on the island, we went straight to the boat, where two of his friends were already there fixing things up. We hopped in, secured our belongings, and got ready to sail. When everyone was ready — aya yay! Captain, let’s go! 🚤 😊
As soon as we started sailing, my eyes were wide open, taking in everything around me — the water, the view, and the wonderful people I was with. At first, we moved slowly, but once we reached the middle of the lake, the boat speeds up and we had to hold on tight to avoid falling into the water! The sound of the waves, the fresh air, and the stunning view made everything feel perfect.
We sailed until we reached the place where we planned to eat — a restaurant called Patagonia. According to research, this restaurant specializes in Argentine imported meats and offers an authentic Argentine steakhouse experience. It’s actually located on the Austrian side of the lake. Everyone was so happy with the food and drinks, and we left with our stomachs full and hearts content.
Before heading back, we stopped by a small house near where our boat was parked. They sold beer, so of course, we had a glass! Everyone chatted and laughed, sharing random topics and stories. It was such a fun and happy time.
Then it was time to sail back — just in time for the sunset view. Right at that moment, we witnessed the most beautiful sunset: the sky was glowing with colors that reflected on the water and the mountains. It was so lovely and romantic, and I couldn’t help but grab my phone to capture it. I felt so lucky to experience it with my one and only love. ❤️
As we got closer to the harbor, we stopped for a bit, played some relaxing music, and enjoyed another beer while admiring the view. What a perfect way to end the day. The Bavarian Lion statue and the Lindau Lighthouse stood out beautifully at night, shining brightly against the dark sky — truly the most iconic and photographed views of the harbor!
What an unforgettable experience — my heart is full and grateful. Life has so much more to offer!
