I hope you all are doing well. In college, time with friends can feel limited, especially when not sharing the same classes. This is why our recent lunch was significant. It was unplanned and honestly just what we needed.
After our classes, we decided to meet just outside the school gate, where a small stand was selling freshly made lemon juice. We chose a different flavor—I went for a lemon with lychee, another picked the classic plain lemon juice, and someone else chose kiwi. Yes, I ordered three! With the heat, staying hydrated was essential, and we couldn’t settle on just one option. Before we took our first sip, we captured a cute photo of our colorful beverages lined up.

Next, we went to Crazy Crunch, our favorite budget-friendly spot for a satisfying meal. We ordered crispy fried chicken with rice—it may be a simple dish, but it felt exceptional with laughter and conversations. While we enjoyed our meal, we caught up on each other’s lives, discussing school updates, sharing funny stories, and engaging in lighthearted gossip. Even though we aren't classmates anymore, our bond feels as strong as ever.
Since I still had one class that day, my friends graciously waited for me, which I truly appreciated. After my class, we ventured downtown for a little adventure,a trip to a nearby thrift store.
While browsing through the racks at the thrift store, something unexpectedly hilarious caught our attention. One of my friends spotted a girl quietly picking out clothes, but what made us burst into giggles was the bold text printed on the back of her shirt—it read, “BITE ME” in big, unapologetic letters right across her bum. We tried to keep it cool, but we just couldn’t stop laughing. It was one of those random, silly moments that made the day unforgettable. Of course, we had to document it. My friend couldn’t resist and posed beside her, subtly pointing at the words while trying to hold back laughter. I quickly snapped a photo, and it was hilarious. *Hahaha!*

We were also in the mood to hunt for affordable finds, especially kitchen items. As we browsed through the thrift store, we discovered small, unique plates that felt like hidden treasures. I found a lovely clear flower-shaped plate with a *Made in Korea* sticker on it, and another in a soft blue shade. They were simple yet charming pieces that instantly caught my eye. It was one of those unexpected joys that made the day even more memorable. The thrill of finding something special in the most random place added a warm, satisfying touch to our spontaneous thrift shopping.
Though our time together was brief and straightforward, it reminded me of the refreshing nature of spending time with people who genuinely understand me. There was no pressure or elaborate plans just food, fun, and friendship. Amid our busy schedules and academic responsibilities, a quick lunch isn't just a meal. It creates moments of joy.
I hope we can create more opportunities for gatherings like this. For now, I will cherish the memories of lemon juice, fried chicken, and our unforgettable thrift store experience.
