***Hello there! It's me, Mae!***
I hope you all are doing well. Rainy Sundays have a special vibe it feel slower, softer, and more personal. This Sunday, it wasnât just the sound of raindrops that made us feel good it was hanging out with my mom and sister.

The day started out gray and calm, making you want to cuddle up with a blanket. But instead, we decided to get up and do something meaningful, the 5 PM mass. Even with the weather, we headed to our little nearby church. The walk there was peaceful, with a cool breeze, and people with umbrellas gave off a pleasant atmosphere.
After mass, our stomachs started grumbling, and we were drawn to Angelâs Burger, right next to the church. Unsurprisingly, many people thought the same thingâit had a long line. We waited a bit, but hunger doesn't really wait, so we crossed over to Nardyâs Pizza and Snack House. We grabbed some nachos there. It wasnât a full meal, but it was enough to keep us happy as we shared it at home.

With our snacks in hand, we went to the nearby 7/11. As we entered, we couldnât resist taking a quick mirror selfie above the drinks section.*Hahaha*
We grabbed a donut for my little sister, who stayed home. Since the rain was coming down steadily, she couldnât join us, so she stayed warm and cozy with our dad, who was babysitting her. My mom also told me to get her some iced teaâshe loves it. So, like the good daughter I am, I happily filled up a cup of her favorite juice.đ
Of course, I couldnât leave without getting something for myself. I picked up a steaming hot bola-bola siopao, filled with meat and a boiled egg perfect for the chilly, rainy weather. After that, we headed to the counter to pay for everything.
As we stepped out, the rain started to pour. We saw balut *(fertilized duck egg)* and penoy *(normal duck egg)* outside the 7/11 store before heading home.
As we walked home, carrying our food in paper bags and trying to dodge puddles along the way. Despite the drizzle, we are eager to get home dry.

Once we got home, my little sister was excited to see us *(and even more thrilled about her donut)*. We laid out the food we got, and what seemed like a simple spread turned into a fun dinner date at home. There were huge Nachos good for sharing, siopao, a donut, and duck eggs.

That rainy Sunday became a warm memory, and Iâm thankful to have spent those little moments with the people who matter most. It didnât take a grand plan, just a shared craving, some laughs, and simple food that brought us together. Rainy days often slow things down, but they also make room for connection. Life moves fast, but days like this remind me to pause and appreciate.
And what about you? What did you have for dinner today?đ
***Hoping to see you all again! Bye bye!â¤ď¸***
