(ESP/ENG) TUTORIAL| ¿CÓMO HACER UN ALFILETERO EN FORMA DE SANDIA ?/TUTORIAL| HOW TO MAKE A PINCUSHION IN THE SHAPE OF A WATERMELON ?

Feliz y bendecido día mi gente linda de #NeedleWorkMonday, es un gusto volver a saludarlos y desearles un día lleno de mucha paz y éxitos. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la creación de un alfiletero en forma de sandía 🍉 en fieltro. Creo que las agujas e hilos son uno de los objetos que más se pierden en una casa, así que éste alfiletero nos ayudará a mantener nuestras agujas en un lugar donde siempre podamos encontrarlas. > Happy and blessed day my beautiful people of #NeedleWorkMonday, it's a pleasure to greet you again and wish you a day filled with lots of peace and success. Today I want to share with you the creation of a watermelon shaped pincushion 🍉 in felt. I think that needles and threads are one of the most lost objects in a house, so this pincushion will help us to keep our needles in a place where we can always find them.

MATERIALES/MATERIALS

- Fieltro Verde, rojo, blanco y negro (A4). - Relleno. - Patrones de las partes de la sandía 🍉. - Máquina de coser. - Agujas. - Hilo blanco. - Tijeras.

- Felt Green, red, white and black (A4). - Filling. - Patterns of the parts of the watermelon 🍉. - Sewing machine. - Needles. - White thread. - Scissors.

PROCEDIMIENTO/PROCEDURE

Primero sacamos los patrones en forma de óvalos, en los distintos colores del fieltro, según la pieza que corresponda. Colocamos el patrón abrazando el fieltro doblado en dos, que nos quede como una empanada.

First we take out the patterns in the shape of ovals, in the different colors of felt, according to the corresponding piece. We place the pattern embracing the felt folded in two, so that it looks like a pie.

Después de haber sacado todos los patrones procedemos a unir las piezas, empezando por la pulpa que es la parte roja, a ésta le pegaremos las semillas, cosiendo a mano o en la máquina, yo lo hice manualmente.

After removing all the patterns, we proceed to join the pieces, starting with the pulp, which is the red part, to which we will glue the seeds, sewing by hand or with the machine, I did it manually.

Luego cosemos la parte roja sobre la parte blanca, de igual manera podemos coserla a mano o en la máquina, yo lo hice en la máquina.

Then we sew the red part over the white part, in the same way we can sew it by hand or on the machine, I did it on the machine.

Posteriormente cosemos las dos piezas que unimos anteriormente, sobre la pieza verde.

Then we sew the two pieces that we joined previously, on the green piece.

Sacamos el patrón de la cáscara en fieltro verde.

We draw the pattern of the shell on green felt.

Colocamos la cáscara sobre la pieza terminada y basteamos todo el borde hasta unir las dos piezas. Dejaremos un agujero para desdoblar e introducir por allí el relleno.

Place the shell over the finished piece and baste the entire edge until the two pieces are joined. Leave a hole to unfold and insert the filling.

Luego pasamos nuestras piezas basteadas por la máquina de coser y desdoblamos.

Then we pass our basted pieces through the sewing machine and unfold them.

Metemos el relleno hasta lograr el tamaño deseado.

We put the filling in until the desired size is reached.

Terminamos cerrando el agujero con una costura manual.

We finish by closing the hole with a hand stitch.

RESULTADO/RESULT
