BELLEZAS GEOLÓGICAS DE LA PATAGONIA, ARGENTINA [ESP/ENG]

Cañón Del Río Pinturas (provincia de Santa Cruz, Patagonia Argentina.) El río Pinturas nace al sur del lago Buenos Aires, en las elevaciones del Monte Zeballos. Luego de unos 150 Km desemboca en el río Deseado. Está excavado en rocas de origen volcánico del Mesozoico y Cenozoico. Además de su belleza intrínseca, su fama se debe a que sobre sus laderas se encuentran algunos de los sitios arqueológicos más interesantes de Argentina. Entre ellos la “Cueva de las Manos” es el sitio más famoso. En esta cueva aparece profusión de manos pintadas, estimándose para ellas una antigüedad de 9.300 años antes del presente. Esta cueva ha sido declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad. >Pinturas River Canyon (Province of Santa Cruz, Patagonia Argentina) The Pinturas River rises south of Lake Buenos Aires, in the elevations of Mount Zeballos. After about 150 km it flows into the Deseado River. It is excavated in rocks of volcanic origin from the Mesozoic and Cenozoic. In addition to its intrinsic beauty, its fame is due to the fact that some of the most interesting archaeological sites in Argentina are located on its slopes. Among them the "Cueva de las Manos" is the most famous site. In this cave there is a profusion of painted hands, estimated to be 9,300 years old before the present.
