Hey,

Its a new update from my source of inspiration! (my head :D) Hope you enjoy! ~

Last week, I found some very inexpensive large linen fabric. I think it was a tablecloth. That's why it had a few stains :S but i didnt't notice that until afterwards..

Suprisingly, my project went really well.

First, I cut my tablecloth into a skirt pattern and trimmed the edges.

I had neither measuring stick nor pattern so I used another skirt as a template. A big freehand project ^^

It took me about 4 days.. And my hand hurts .. I had severe cramps in my left thumb.

Aye, exactly, my scissor is for nails, not fabric.

that's the challenge: crappy scissor and no measuring stick ;)

And what could it be?

And actually, I didn't have enough material for my imagination, so I had to improvise. That means I couldnt implement this idea:

Instead, I opened up these edges and serrated (riffled?) it.

The result: (This is the back)

and of course I serged the edges, all by hand of course..

And I am really proud :)

The front is shorter than the back. And on the pleats are on the back, but as you can see in picture numero 8, I also riffled the front. So I didn't add riffles, I sewed them into the waistband itself.

I am curious to see when I will wear it >:) we will see ^^but its kinda cold outside. and it looks rather formal.

hope you enjoyed it, and I look forward to your comments below about what you think!

have a nice friday evening in the shadows of the fullmoon ~~
