Cooking for the family has been one of the things I've enjoyed doing recently. After resigning from my corporate job as an Accountant, I took some time off to stay at home and freelanced on Upwork. Aside from staying at home, I was in charge of cooking meals for the family. I have learned many recipes because of this, and one of them is my homemade fried chicken, which I prepared recently.

Crispy fried chicken is everyone's favorite because of its flavorful taste, and our family is not an exception. That's why I cooked it for our lunch. I bought some chicken in the local market and cooked it in boiling water for 15 minutes. This is how you cook yours, but this is how I wanted our chicken to be cooked first.

While waiting for the chicken, I prepared the mixture of flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and other seasonings for the coating of the chicken. I set it aside for a while because I needed the chicken to cool down before coating it in seasoned flour.

When the chicken was ready, I put each piece one by one to be coated in seasoned flour. I made sure that every piece was covered well so they would all achieve the perfect crisp.

After putting in the mixture, I set them aside and heated a pan on the stove. I also added enough oil for the next step, which is frying the chicken until it turns brown.

After a few minutes of waiting, the oil is ready for frying. I arranged the first pieces of chicken, ensuring each had space to cook perfectly. I enjoyed hearing the frying sound!

While the chicken is in the pan, I got the plate ready. I even checked the rice I was cooking alongside the chicken. I could see the chicken turning brown on the sides, so I need to make sure it doesn't get burnt.

I could smell the aroma inside our kitchen. When the first batch of chicken was cooked, I set it aside and put it on a plate. As I can see, they were cooked perfectly, and the whole family will surely enjoy them. But before anything else, I need to cook it all first. I cannot stop looking at them, as I could already imagine getting a bite.

Do you want to know what's the best part? It's a time to eat together with the whole family. I called the kids, my niece and nephews, and then my partner. We had a feast, and the kids savored every bite.

As for me, I wanted to pair it up with the spicy vinegar we have at home. And I did not regret doing it! The flavors are the perfect combo. Although I am not an expert in cooking, I can say that this recipe is one of the best I've ever prepared for my family.
