We sometimes have a different perception of the lines between contentment and success. Most people struggle to understand what it means to be prosperous and contented. We all think differently about these two things, and here I am writing an article about my insights.
It is challenging to determine whether a person is already successful, as we often have our own idea of what success and satisfaction entail. But it is easy to observe when a person is content with what they have. Now, where do you want to be? Let me share some of my perceptions. It was based on my own experiences and observations.
I once asked myself, What do I want? To be contented? Or be successful? Of course, the answer is obvious. I'd choose to be at the peak of success. But as you grow old, you will realize many things. Your eyes will see the reality in life. In my case, I began to question many things, including the distinction between being prosperous and contented.

I have seen many people and heard them say that they are content with what they have, and that they prefer happiness over the pressure to be successful. And they may have their reasons too. As for me, I should follow the path to success. And along the process, I have realized the difference between the two: Contented VS Successful.
For me, being contented means being happy with what you have. It is what some people believe in and justify to normalize. Yes, it is easy just to be contented with what you have. Life would be easier this way. On the other hand, being successful means you have worked hard and endured every pain in the process. You had a goal that you wanted to achieve, and you thought it would bring you the success you could flaunt to everyone. But what is the difference between these two?
I think being contented is when you are just in your comfort zone. You are already feeling that your comfort zone is good enough for you to enjoy life. You tend not to go out in that shell because you think it gives you contentment. You don't exceed your limits because, again, you are already in that safe position of being content with everything and anything in your life.

But if you are successful, you always aim for the best. You will work hard because once you are there, the problem you will encounter is how to maintain that status. You need to improve something every day because your standards will change as soon as you achieve the success you've worked hard to attain.
Some people choose to be content with what they have, while others strive for the top spot. When you are content, you will tend to stay in your comfort zone and avoid taking risks. However, if you aspire to achieve success one day, you will need to step out of your comfort zone, take calculated risks, and seize the opportunities that present themselves.
We don't share the same opinion or definition of what constitutes success and contentment. However, if you want to know what I would choose between the two, I would opt for both. As of now, I will be content with the life I have, and I will enjoy being happy with it. However, I am also craving something different, and I am in the process of improving the life I have now for the future. It depends on where you place the feeling of being content and your goal of achieving success.
