EDUCATION FOR ALL

Education, in these times, is very important. We can not overemphasize how greatly it has impacted us, not just as individuals but as a society.

Now, the question that otherwise should have been asked could have been about individual ability to afford an education. Cause, by a large fraction, I believe that most persons, both males and females, are allowed to get an education.

A few times, I have read and also heard of people who wouldn't let their female wards go to school. School, they believe, is a waste of useful time. They would rather that the female learns a trade and/or learns the art of home-making and home-keeping cause, as they believe, it was the sole purpose of a woman.

I've heard that women shouldnt go to school 'too much' pr be 'too career driven' cause that'll chase men away and anyway, they eont want to be academically and economically higher than their husband/male counterparts. Every time i hear/read such, e de always muzz me. Cause, what!?

I once had a conversation with a friend, and she mentioned how it's unlikely that she'd let her female child go in to study medicine cause, according to her, it was time -wasting and consuming. She'd prefer her son or daughter's husband to study it. Her reasons were as stated above, and in addition to that, a female needed to stay be available to build a home while the man goes out to hustle and pamper her. For a female, it's okay to her that she just picks any four-year course and gets it over with all of that. I was stunned by her words and just couldn't have a conversation about the topic with her. I had to do a math based on the average age a person could get done with high school, get into medical school and go through internship and all and I still didn't understand how the lady would suddenly be old when she would likely be in her twenties.

I have heard things like that, but that was like the height for me. Coming from someone who is educated and who, a student currently who if she'd gotten into medical school at the time she left high school, should be a licensed doctor. This isn't about her anyway, so we move...

Education at the moment is for all. I somehow feel like there may be more females than males in school. I don't have statistics to back them up. However, in my own faculty, I'm certain there are more females as are in other faculties. Only a few others are dominated by males. In fact, generally, through the different levels of education, I feel like girls are more.

In these times, parents and wards want their kids to be educated, particularly females. Considering how biased and unfair things can pan not-so in the favor of women, education is more a tool that springs them up and gives leverage. Now, anyone is free to get to the peak of whatever qualification they aspire as far they are willing to(more like, as much as they can afford to).

Thanks for gracing this post. Greetings
