I'm stopping by today to show you my latest banner commission, which I finished just yesterday and am very proud of. It's a welcome banner with a portrait of my cousin Daniela and a tropical theme. My cousin Daniela has been traveling in the United States since the beginning of this year, and her mom wrote to me last week to commission a banner for her welcome home today. I started working on it on Monday, finishing the portrait of her and the letters that day. Yesterday, I worked nonstop from the moment I woke up. I chose a photo of her that I really liked and tried to make it as similar as possible. I used a mixed technique, first applying a coat of paint, then using wood colors to create the shadows, contours, and coloring of the skin and lips. Then, with markers, I added smaller details such as eyelashes, eyebrows, the pattern of the swimsuit, and some hair. To give it more dimension, I used white paint to add some highlights to the face and chest area. Once I had the portrait and the letters ready, I started to make the other elements of the banner, the heart-shaped country flags and an airplane, for which I used only paint and markers. Finally, I made two very important elements that give the banner a tropical vibe: the palm tree with coconuts and a fuchsia flower, also using paint, colors, and markers. I am very proud of the work I did. I put a lot of love into it and loved drawing Daniela. I paid attention to even the smallest details so that it would look as similar as possible. Last night, Daniela's mother came by to pick up the order, and her reaction made me extremely happy. The first thing she said was that the portrait was identical and that they congratulated me on my spectacular work. Espero hayan tenido un lindo día, hoy paso por aqui para mostrarles mi más reciente encargo de pancarta que terminé apenas ayer y que me tiene súper orgulloso. Se trata de una pancarta de bienvenida con el retrato de mi prima Daniela y con una temática tropical. Mi prima Daniela estuvo de viaje en Estados Unidos desde principios de este año, y su mamá me escribió la semana pasada para encargarme una pancarta para su bienvenida que fue hoy. Empecé a hacerla el lunes, ese día adelanté el retrato de ella y las letras. Y ayer estuve trabajando corrido desde que me levanté, escogí una foto de ella que me gustó mucho y traté de hacerla lo más parecida posible, la técnica que utilicé fue mixta, ya que primero apliqué una capa de pintura, luego con colores de madera hice las sombras, contornos y coloraciones de la piel y labios. Después con marcados hice detalles más pequeños como pestañas, cejas, el patrón del traje de baño y algunos cabellos, para darle más dimensión con pintura blanca hice algunos brillos en la cara y en la parte del pecho. luego de tener el retrato y las letras listas, me puse a hacer los demás elementos de la pancarta, las banderas de los países en forma de corazones y un avión, para esto usé nada más pintura y marcadores. Y por último realicé dos elementos muy importantes que dan la vibra tropical para la pancarta, la palmera con unos cocos y una flor fucsia, también utilicé pintura, colores y marcadores. Yo me siento muy orgulloso del trabajo que realicé, lo hice con mucho amor y me encantó dibujar a Daniela, estuve pendiente de hasta el más mínimo detalle para que quedara lo más parecida posible. Ayer en la noche la mamá de Daniela pasó buscando el pedido y su reacción me hizo sentir sumamente feliz, pues lo primero que dijo es que el retrato había quedado idéntico y que me felicitaban que el trabajo me había quedado espectacular.
