1st of all, I want to say thank you to c/praetoria because I just found you and this community is so cool! It's a fun way to not just post Splinterlands content within the Splinterlands community!
2nd of all I wanted to write this article about the latest news that dropped yesterday about the new Conclave Arcana Reward Card Set. I know it was mentioned a month or two ago in the Town Hall but this is the most detailed info yet on the set. Which you can read the announcement post here.
The Current/Legacy Rebellion Reward Set
I wanted to start this article off with where we are starting from. Currently we have the Rebellion Reward Set.
The current Reward Set includes
- 12 Common Unit Cards
- 12 Rare Unit Cards
- 7 Epic Unit Cards
- 12 Legendary Unit Cards
Which is 43 cards in total for the Rebellion Reward Set. As you can see I still need some of the Legendary cards which I may just need to pickup on secondary which sucks but it is what it is.
And here is the current options you can spend your Glint on:

There is going to be the same # of cards so 43 with the same amount of each rarity.
- 12 Common Cards
- 12 Rare Cards
- 7 Epic Cards
- 12 Legendary Cards
I couldn't find any info if they are all Unit cards or if there are going to be Archon's in there somewhere. I think for me, I would prefer if they were all Unit cards honestly. There are already soo many Archon cards. And even in just the Modern format there are 29 Archon's that can be used.
I am hoping the cards help fill out some bloodlines and offer a new exciting gameplay to the meta because that is always a good thing!
Also just look at this beauty... he (she?) means business!
People may disagree but I really like the idea of the reward set of cards to not have Production Power and to not be usable in Conflicts. And the reason for that is because Land and Conflicts are more of a 'endgame' type mechanic and not just for a new fresh player to get into day 1 and have a chance. Those of us who have been around a long time and even have decent Collection Powers still struggle to even get 1 Conflict card and to give every player easier chances mean those like me will get less chances.
📜 Unbinding Scrolls 📜
This was teased a while back and I can not WAIT for them to launch. I think that has been 1 of my biggest critiques of Splinterlands is the cost to take a Soulbound card and make it tradeable or to delegate it or even sell it. Splinterlands needs to not make the game so easy to cash out every little thing because it will dilute the game overall. However it still needs to be able to do those options without pumping in massive amounts of crypto to buy DEC to just unbind a card.
Well enter the Unbinding Scrolls!
I love the idea of getting the scrolls via Reward Chests AND the option to purchase them outright.
🏅 The new GLINT Draws 🏅
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact they removed the specific "Gold Foil Draws". I personally hated the Gold Foil Draws and how much more they cost then the regular Draws so this is a welcome change.
The 1 downside is the change in Glint price for just a regular Draw since you can get GF from a regular draws.

💰 New Loot Chests 💰
This may just be me but I always hated the Loot Chests. I never saw the point in spending Glint on them because they didn't offer anything worth my wild.
Here is what is currently in a Minor Loot Chest (which costs 200 Glint):

🍀 The Weekly Fortune Draw 🍀
This is super exciting to me and I wish the team does more of these in the future!
The short version is that each week there is a Fortune Draw where you get a chance to win the Black Foil, Gold Foil Arcane or Black Foil Arcane cards over 53 weeks.
It will cost 125 DEC per week to enter and then you gain entries by battling, loot chests or purchasing them via Glint. I can't overstate how awesome this is!
I can tell you right now that Day 1 I will be buying 53 Fortune Weekly passes for 6,625 DEC just so that I am covered.
I won't get into the nitty gritty on how to earn/buy entries but I will say that the more SPS you have staked the more chances you have to earn entries.
I am calling it right now, if I win one of these... I am going to keep it and lose my shit!
