Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog, it's your boy Chiddy. Today i want to share something I've had down my throat for a while now, I think it's time to speak up.
You know, there a lot of limitations to being a Nigerian. We're constantly boycotted by other nations and countries, and this is because most countries don't believe anything good can come from us. I've seen and lost so many opportunities just because I'm a Nigerian.
Imagine getting a link to study online, when you finish signing up with your Email address and it's time for phone number verification, then you Type in the country code "+234, then you see something like, "sorry we're currently not available in your region. And that's it, another opportunity gone because of ones Nationality.
Now from my research, 40% of the times, the fault isn't from other countries. The problem is our Government here in Nigeria, and that breaks my heart. Nigerian sometimes don't participate in activities that will benefits the masses. I don't really know how it is done, but I believe that we don't properly engage in those things, that's why we've been boycotted by many countries. This much is all I know as regarding to Nigerians flaws to engaging with other countries.
15- 20% of the times, the citizens of Nigeria are to blame. I say this because, at least 5-10% of the Nigerians that got opportunities like, traveling out and working with the white, blew things away for the innocent Nigerians with pure mind and energy, like my very self.
No pun intended.
Then the remaining 35- 40% isn't Nigerians fault. Naturally, racism exists even among fellow citizens of a country, you know the black and white segregation scenario. Though it is very minimal now because lots of people has evolved, and it slowly dies by the arrival of new generations. No doubt in a few more years the stuff and segregation about the blacked skinned and the white skinned will die a natural death.
This brings me back to my original point, if there's such over there in their own country, how much more a country such as Nigerian.
As a concern and slightly pained citizen of Nigeria, I would like to beg, this might seem funny to you, but I'm seriously serious π. That was on a lighter mood. But please I'd love to beg other countries to please include Nigerians in their reachout scheme. There's no country without good and bad persons. Please Don't use the fact that some Nigerians have ruined their images and not mine π , to boycott us, especially me, this time I want to speak for myself.
Please Note that I didn't generalize this article, it is to whom it may concern π..
I have no doubts that some individuals of other countries actually love Nigerians, for one reason or the other π. So I'm only trying to communicate and share my pain, who knows who might see this and take serious actions.
However, it will be very nice if something is done about it. We are all humans right? Well let's not just be humans, we could be a family too, all it takes is willingness.
If you know something about why Nigerians has been boycotted by many countries, feel free to enlighten me on the comment section, I'm open to learn.
So I'll know how and where to take my fight toπ. Nigerians be ready for this Citizen, the moment I learn why and it's our fault ehnn!, Anyway let me not say what I will do π.
Pun intended π , but please feel free to share what you know.
Signing Out. This Stubborn Nigerian π ; Chiddy...
