Hello ladies of Hive.

When I saw this week's promt I felt excited, I loved it instantly because I get to share a picture, not just any pictures but my favorite and tell you all  the story behind that day and why it's important to me. IMG-20250108-WA0016.jpg

It's a picture of me on the 8th of January 2025, it was my matriculation day at the National Open University of Nigeria, it was like a dream come true,  I was so excited a day before my matric I couldn't sleep😂 ,  It brought back memories of me as a little child when my parent got me a new dress for an event I couldn't wait to wear it, I'm sure most of you can relate to such excitement. I got an admission to study Information technology in the computing department.

I was so happy , this opening learning program provides the opportunity for me to work and study at the same time, it was like killing two birds with one stone. On the day of my matric I was feeling so nervous I had to wait for my sister to accompany me, there was a lot of people and I didn't have any friends yet in school so my sister was with me all through.

The processing of getting an admission into the school was quite stressful for me because been a new student and this is my first degree I didn't know what to do or how to go about the while admission process. Thankfully I had a very close friend  that is in her final year  she was a very helpful. Whenever I had any challenges she was always there to help.

This picture is important to me because  whenever I look at it teaches me that anything  is possible especially when I set my mind on it, I've always wanted to have a degree for the longest time, but I didn't have enough motivation but there I was making little decision that would lead to a realization of my dreams. I'm not only going to bag a degree but this is another way that I can invest in myself, some persons think that women should not  be educated, since they're mostly helping at home But like the saying goes when you teach a woman you educate the society.

Thank you for reading I hope you enjoyed it.
