I was invited to a Belgium National Day party at SEDA Hotel last July. It was my first time and I'm excited for the experience. I am grateful to my partner's family for always bringing me along.
It was a rainy Friday evening. We got there at around 6:30 p.m.
The Mayor of Cebu City, Michael Rama, gave a short speech and sang "You've got a Friend". The Ambassador of Belgium, H. E. Michel Parys, gave a speech as well and made a toast. There wasn't much of a program. It was all about meeting people, talking, singing and drinking.
For dinner, I was surprised that they served Filipino food as I was expecting that I would be able to eat Belgian food. 🤣 Apparently, I was not the only one surprised. They said it was usually Belgian food but maybe wanted to try something new or change the organizer. 🤷♀ Anyway, it was still good food! We had unlimited cocktail, red and white wine as well.
My handsome date and I having a good time with our friends and family. Cheers to more parties together!
We were the last ones to leave the venue as everyone was having a good time chatting. So obviously, we were also planning where to go next. The night was young so we had an afterparty at 88th Avenue in a place called F Bar.
Anyway, that was the end of the night! On to the next party!
