I recently watched The Batman and it left a strong impression on me.
Matt Reeves dirceted this movie, the film takes a darker, more grounded approach to Gotham City and I could sincerely say that this particular movie gives us a Batman the is unusual of the ones we have seen before.
This story follows Bruce Wayne in his second year as Batman. He is not yet the polished hero.
Still learning, and still figuring out what the kind of symbol he wants is really all about.
Gotham is a city drowning in crime and corruption, and into that chaos steps the Riddler, played by Paul Dano.
As have been seen in older films ,other villians were mostly causing neusance in the city but this riddler, is a deadly serial killer, who has the habit of living behind puzzles and riddles, this results in Batman finding himself in a middle of investigation.
The detective nature of the movie made me love it the more,with the help of lieutenant Gordon, Batman spend most of his time linking puzzles together.
The gloomy streets, constant rain, and heavy tension make Gotham feel alive, though dangerous.
Robert Pattinson brings a new side to Batman. His version is quiet, serious, and consumed by the mission.
Catwoman was played by Zoe Kravitz , the chemistry between her and Batman added warmth to the movie.
I also loved the ridler which was acted by Paul Dano , he really put in some wonderful
performancee, I also admired Colin Farrell completely transforms into the Penguin with a memorable performance.
The action scenes are powerful, especially the Batmobile chase, but what stood out most was the meaning behind the story. At first, Batman thinks fear is enough to fight crime, but by the end, he learns he must also inspire hope. That growth gives the movie heart.
Even with a long runtime, it never felt wasted.
the Batman movie is more than just a superhero movie, a character study drowned in mystery,which gives a bold new direction to the dark night.
