On $2 a day?? well, yes. Here's the low down..
Hi there hive fam,
Today I woke up thinking about financial freedom. That is, having enough to pay ALL expenses now and in the future to come.
This is a balance sheet. (from cashflow the game.. I learned 99% of my financial education from Robert Kiyosaki - better known as the guy who wrote Rich dad, poor dad)

It's really quite simple. Kiyosaki is just genius and this game, along with his books, taught me all I needed to know about how to live financially free. Do yourself a favor and just take a bit of time to go learn (and play)!
To sum it up, everyone gets stuff from somewhere.. that's income. It's most commonly in the form of money, but not always. If u have a garden and it produces food for u, is that not food income?
Like income, we all have expenses.. what we need to 'pay' each day in order to live.
Liabilities - a long word that just means those things that takes money out of your pocket.
Assets - those things u have that put money IN your pocket.
Lessen your expenses (or increase your income). Limit liabilities which will lessen your expenses. Example: my kids are grown now and are no longer on my liabilities list! :P
Amass assets to feed your income and pay for expenses.
That's pretty much it. :)
oh, and why the $2 part.. what's up with that? well.. I was lucky enough to discover philippines where $2 usd equals about 100 pesos.. enough to buy food or this and that. Add this with NOT having to pay for housing, either by owning the land and house (of apt or whatever), which most pinoys seem to do, even if 'poor.. cuz housing IS usually the largest expense for ppl.
how about a garden and some animals to produce food and other needs? how about solar and other free and renewable sources of energy? what's another expense? entertainment? for me, just sit me at a PC with internet all day and I am perfectly content. ever met a pinoy.. just hand em a mic and press play on the karaoke machine!
