Hi there hive fam,
I remember a few peeps that really stood out as I was growing up in Ohio, then later on Kauai, Hawai. Thwas in the 80s and 90s. Let's see, there was this guy.. MJ, and of course the other MJ.. Michael Jackson. Thinking of other stand out athletes.. there was Tiger Woods. I was big into tennis and I remember the names of John Macenroe, Michael Chang, Ivan Lendel, Corrier, and Martina Nartilova.
My first car was a 1974 VW superbeetle and I (my dad) had some speakers installed in the front of the interior.. it was heavy on the treble, but still sounded good to me. I would always add a sub woofer in all my later cars. Anyway I remember listening to lots of Keith Sweat and Brian Mcknight. Later, I had my dad's honda civid and it had a great sound system.. a pair of seperates up front (for that clear treble) and a 12 inch lanzar sub woofr box in the trunk.. the bass was AWESOME! I mostly listened to Mariah Carey at the time, but I also had B2M, all the Mtv party to go CD.. and my favorite CD was Then There Was Bass. I had a nice 6-CD changer in the trunk next to my sub box. I made lthe mistake of leaving my CD's in the changer when I shipped my car interisland to Maui, and my favorite CDs were stolen. DOH!!
Thinking back on those days.. I really had a pretty good growing up years. How about y'all? What things do u guys remember most for ur growing up years?
