Hi there hive fam! I went to watch my cousin's daughter and her high school team play some volleyball. It's one thing that I really enjoy, that is a surprise to me, but it's one of the things that got me out of my depression recently.
She is tall! 6' I think. Only 1 or 2 other girls on her team are as tall as her. She didn't play in this match since she hurt her back lifting weights. Here she is..

She is definitely a star player in her team. Her position is middle blocker/spiker. ๐ช๐๐
One of the first things I noticed was how much taller every player was on her team, vs the opposing team..

This extra height played out to leading her team to have many kills, whereas the other team could only return, or dink the ball back and hope that the opposing team maid an error. The combined with good serving, led to not so close games.. my cousin's daughter's team won in 3 fast games.
I especially like the jump serving that almost all of the girls can do on my cousin's daughter's team (GO TIGERS) vs the just standing serves of the opposing team. The extra height and force of these serves led to many aces, vs the many out of bounds serves of the opponents. I counted only 1 ace for the Knights (the opponents) and like 20 aces for the tigers.
Also, because of the easy serves of the knights, our team could always return the ball no prob. :)
