SHREK??!

He was happy just peacefully living in his swamp.

Yesterday, me and mom and my aunt and uncle, plus their 2 daughters, and my aunt Debbie all went to see this musical...

I like the medieval style font used here.

We all met at this theater in town. Besides plays, there were also some good music concerts coming up..

Yesterday.. life was such an easy game to play..

The awesome musical also had my nephew as part of the cast. Besides being the understudy for Shrek, he was the puppeteer of the head of the dragon. Pretty cool!

He was very good at it. Did he take some classes?

He was great in ALL his roles. He's a born performer. :)

I didn't take any pictures during the musical.. we were told not to. It started at 2:05 pm and ended at 4:20 pm, with a 15 minute break halfway through.

It was so cool to see my nephew in that. He played the ogre papa at the very beginning of the play so I got to see him right away. The last time I saw him he was much much smaller. I remember clinging to his back, but he was too small at that time, so we both went down.. Now, I'm sure he outweighs me and could carry me around. (I'm still taller, tho)

I was told his GF of many years was the one who brought him into be in the play. She played one of the fairies and she looks the part very good. (think tinkerbell, but the big size) :P

I think we saw the second day of the shows. Honu said they had 2 shows that day.. we saw the first one. My sister saw him on opening night tho..

He was made to play the piggy character. :P

I liked how they used mics on most all the actors who had speaking roles. That, and so many of the actors were also great singers / dancers. There was even one girl who played one of the fairy tale beings, who was in a powered wheelchair.. that was an unexpected, but a very very cool thing to see.
