๐ VIMM Framework Documentation is Now Live!
๐ Big News!
The comprehensive documentation for the VIMM streaming framework is now live! Instead of rebuilding VIMM as a single platform, we've created an open-source framework that empowers any developer to build their own streaming platform on Hive.
๐ Documentation: https://vimm-docs.vercel.app/
๐๏ธ What's Included
The framework consists of three main components:
- VIMM Core - Streaming server with RTMP ingestion, transcoding, and Hive integration
- VIMM Frontend - React-based web interface with video player and chat
- VIMM Chat - Real-time messaging server with moderation tools
All components work together to create a complete streaming platform on the Hive blockchain.
๐ Complete Documentation
Our docs include:
- Quick Start Guide - Get running in under 30 minutes
- Component Guides - Detailed setup for each part
- API Documentation - Complete reference for developers
- Deployment Options - From development to production
๐ Why This Matters
- Ecosystem Growth - Enable multiple streaming platforms instead of just one
- Lower Barriers - Reduce technical complexity for new projects
- Open Source - MIT licensed, community-owned infrastructure
- Hive Integration - Built specifically for the Hive blockchain
๐ DHF Proposal #320
This documentation launch marks the completion of a major milestone under DHF Proposal #320. With your support, we're building open infrastructure for the entire Hive ecosystem.

๐ฏ What's Next
I'm currently working on standardized SSL certificate generation to make HTTPS deployment easier for all three components. This will be added to the documentation along with my demonstration platform deployment, which will showcase the framework's capabilities and serve as the first real-world example for developers to learn from.
