We indeed celebrate CHILDREN'S DAY during the month of May, here in Nigeria. I had a lot on my mind concerning the educational sector and empowering programs pertaining a Nigerian Child.
Well, There's this popular phrase that goes "children are the tomorrow's future, they are because what are we currently building the society for? What are we adult living for? If not for the young ones and unborn kids to have a better and brighter future.
I heard someone said "to cripple any nation in the world first destroy its children's educational system" that saying is so correct and of fact.
Empowering children surely equals to empowering the Nation at large.
All successful and developed countries have a well standard educational system provided for the children because they know how mandatory it is to educated and empower the young generation.I made some research and found out Countries like Japan, China, Britain and Russia they don't joke with children education accompanied with strict discipline.
In my country Nigeria in Africa, I have witness many organization and agencies working for human welfare especially the non governmental organization that took it upon themselves to serve such privileged knowing how vital it will play on a child life.
Doing such task indirectly helped the federal government with ease and speed, these organization indeed serve professionally with guidance which has improved the countries education system. The sad part is that some government officials are diverting funds meant for this empowerment to non related affairs, since they're both under same umbrella its difficult to bring them to book. Corruption at its peak.
Early Child education has made so many kids become so courageous, confident while speaking, problem solver, fast reasoner and still very respectful because we just can't exclude tradition from education. We'll know the few damages it has caused the westerners, a well educated child can still be very arrogant and have NO morals for the parents.
I won't leave out the provision of skills acquisition for children is a great idea, a child at high school level should know how to handle a HAIR CLIPPER, knows some PLUMBING issues, some medical ideas and so on. Just bringing different technical and medical fields to the children at early age will go a long way in developing them. To my own thoughts and contribution regarding children empowerment.
Providing a child's Right protection acts by the law, Every child has the right to be treated in a comfortable environment free from health issues and abuse, because I've seen where innocent children are just left on the street wandering around indirectly creating more nuisance in the society and the country at large. The government needs to monitor abuse cases on any child be it boy or girl.
You dare not bring a child to the world just to suffer him or her.
Secondly, the government officials responsible for this educational and skillful empowerment program should possess transparency at all time, provide well trained teachers and these should be done yearly.
Lastly, Children actually don't just get or create ideological minds. So they should be carefully raised because they represent the nations future, their rights must be fully provided by the various government institutions handling the program.
