This is so common in Africa, Nigeria in specific, where privatized schools are now business enterprise center, the value for children's education and future is been neglected, politicized with money.

It is of importance I write about and explain deeper concerning constructive criticism, especially to Nigerian schooling system, there's been this system of reasoning that been criticize professional or constructively is a downgrade or insult. Especially when we are dealing with education and advancement opportunities.

I can understand there must be a pattern or system in doing that, it all depends on the critics been constructive with the words and approach. When you give out a constructive criticism it is a way of demanding a better way where as not downgrading the fairly opinion initially introduced. This system of criticism has stopped, averted and limit future negative persecution because it was open handedly accepted.

In offices or businesses environs been criticize professionally is alongside making a better and enhanced product system. There's this meeting I and my colleagues had on improving the system and management of the school where I taught. A critical discussion erupted about canceling the "must payment" of graduation fees for junior secondary school three and the suspension of "a must purchase of yearly textbooks " in every class from the school. Since it is a government approved syllables so it makes the textbooks available all over the states with a cheaper rate. Not a must it will be purchase by the school if they continue increasing the price from the general price.

This brought pandemonium, and I and few other teachers stood our ground that it must stop, a school is not a business center but a citadel of knowledge and grooming oneself. The future if these children are important than the profits of money gain in privatized school items and payment of graduation fee just for leveling from grade one to grade two. It is totally unfair, what's the reason for that yearly payment? I asked.

This is just an indirect system of extortion or demands for money when not necessary.

Graduation should be once in high school level (same as secondary school in Nigeria) during the verge of passing out where as elevating to colleges (what we call university).

Not the yearly payment of fees from grade to grade, I wondered what kind of graduation Levi is that. Imagine not able to pass down a textbook that I bought and its still new to other people, because they're told compulsorily to always get new textbooks from the school library every year.

I frowned at it and I criticize that system because it put the parents on high tension, they struggle to pay fees and all this added unnecessary Levi will make the parent drop their wards out from schools. If not for corrupted system, education should be subsidized especially the government owned schools, so when the private schools or institution are not in high interest they are forced to put a reasonable amount charge for fees.

It is just so unfortunate, the poor can't be privileged to education. The rich are always at a beneficial point.

Thanks for reading through. Images are mine.
