https://youtu.be/GnmQ64uDaH0?si=9TcaTF6FuMgyfQei In the New Testament of the church of God, we do not pay tithes but we give willingly to support the work of God. Christians are not supposed to pay ten percent. The ten percent was enforced during the law in the Old Testament for Israel. They were asked to pay tithes for the work of God in the temple to be sustained. The Old Testament operated under the old priesthood of Aaron and his descendance. They were all walking under the laws that Moses made for them in the wilderness. In the church, we are not following the laws of Moses. We are operating under a new priesthood in Christ Jesus.

Under the New Testament which the Lord Jesus Christ has established for us, we are not paying anything for the gospel. We preach the gospel free and we received it for free. We are not making any payments for it and we are not receiving any payment for it. The Lord Jesus Christ has told us that freely we have received also, freely we should give. The New Testament is established upon the priesthood of Christ. It is no more under the priesthood of Aaron. So, the law of tithe payment are not enforced anymore.

There are several needs in the church that require our financial and material support. We can give people out of our substances freely. In the same way we can give for the work of the church. We are not paying tithes but we are giving our substances to support the work of the gospel.
