This piece of writing was written specially for my beloved students a couple of months ago. But now, I want to take the opportunity to share it with you folks. I hope you like it.
Dear students, you are undergoing the most important period of your life. There is no exception that a firm foundation is needed for erecting any structure. Your present life can be compared to the foundation time of your life. Your future life will be determined by the way you are shaping your foundation. You are acquiring knowledge from your you are not applying it.
Suppose, you have learned from your science book that unhealthy eating habits, leading a sedentary lifestyle and a lack of physical activity contribute to the risk of heart attack. If you don't apply this learning in your life, your knowledge will be of no use. In the same way, there are some social norms to be achieved which will make you emotionally reactive, When you will learn these norms and apply in your real-life situation, it means you are socially skilled also.
Very often we fail to show expected attitude in a certain situation. Rather we succumb to our emotion and behave in the wrong way It means we are not emotionally skilled. So, what things can make us emotionally emotional. By emotional skilled? I guess, you understand. Yes, it is intelligence shortly called El, you can manage both your own emotions and understand the emotions of people around you. Your emotional intelligence will guide your thinking and behavior, adjust your emotions to adapt to the environment.
Managing the emotions of other people is really hard. But if the unnatural emotion behind the behavior of an individual is identified rightly, it can be interacted with in person.
My dear students, your academics the best way by emotional intelligent achievements are undoubtedly important; but your overall success and well being will be determined by how much you own emotional intelligence. Remember, emotional intelligence is not natural. Rather it is a skill you have to acquire. The ways you can acquire this skill are:
Understand your emotions and motivation, strength and weakness. If you understand this well, you will be able to regulate your emotions and avoid impulsive behavior detrimental to your endeavors.
Build a better relationship with your peers, teachers and family members. It will help you to understand the emotions and objectives behind others' words.
You have to confront conflicts through empathy, active listening and compromise and try to create a harmonious environment. Manage stress and maintain mental well being. You can use coping mechanisms like deep breathing, exercise, mindfulness techniques or engaging joy bringing techniques.
Develop leadership and decision-making abilities, communicate, emphasize, and inspire others. Believe in your own capabilities and strength. Grow self confidence, take risks, and explore new opportunities, engage actively in your academic and personal pursuits. This will help you to save higher self esteem and a positive self image.
Manage your time properly, prioritize your task, and set achievable goals. Engage in fruitful discussion with peers and teachers, seek support from the teachers when needed, and collaborate with peers.
In conclusion, emotional intelligence plays a pivotal role in fostering healthy relationships and effective communication which significantly impacts both personal and social life.
