Knowledge is both power and light when we usually think of these as a method of instructional and academic learning. It might be true in some perspectives but knowledge is more than that. Knowledge is meant to carry out some obligation and responsibility, social momentums of etiquette, moral and authentic use of daily procedures etc. It visualizes both the bookish and practical behavior of a person.
Teachers are the mirrors of students who are born to imitate and to learn. In some views of psycholinguistics, children are born with a Tabula Rasa which means a white slate/plate. After habituating in the society and behaving with nature, the white plate of the child gradually becomes large and starts manipulating cooperative response side by side developing the mother tongue.
Students come to educational institutions with an empty domain of Tabula Rasa. They become ignorant of socialization , obligation, responsibility, leadership, ethics, values and so on. They eagerly wait to copy 90 percent behavioral activities of teachers. On the other hand, some psychologists opined (which later appears as a way of learning social norms) that a child learns to react according to the environment it lives around.
If a child is grown up in the forest with wilderness, it will behave like a wild. Similarly it also can be grown up as it is directed according to the level of a society. However, in many perspectives, the students learn choices, thoughts, manners, cultures, obligations, leader ships, values, obedience, patriotism, etiquette etc. directly from teachers.
So, a teacher is to be someone who will first engulf himself with many qualities and characteristics to reform the world of students.
Not only the bookish knowledge but also the basic entities like punctuality, transparency, accountability, sincerity, honesty, tolerance, cleanliness, aestheticism etc. are highly emphasized for being a noble teacher. It is very true that our teachers in maximum educational institutions are well-qualified but, still, there are some shortcomings and a huge scope to be developed. Teachers also give complete efforts to build up all-round up-to-date students.
However, students (from Nursery to University even at any stage) have a lot of obligations to perform. First of all, a child is not born to be a student or doctor, engineer, pilot, judge, barrister, teacher, architect etc. but by the time being, students become one of them. How could this be possible? Yes, it's possible by means of perseverance and daily studies.
Thus a student has to adapt with a huge number of extents which provide him to become a human, the supreme creature of the Almighty.
A student has also to remember that common sense gradually envelops a person. The foremost duty of a student is to maintain academic responsibilities, obeying regulations, following positive ways of society, displaying the tradition and culture, establishing a sense of equalities, affection, tolerance of opinions, and veneration to all irrespective of casts, color, religions and nations. It, nowadays, is very shocking that students are quite indifferent to social norms, mannerism, duties to seniors and juniors, responsibilities and duties to parents and to nationality and so on. Unethical activities are widely found here and there.
Lack of values while doing or behaving in society is another irreversible attitude of today's students.
Why are such unexpected worthless consequences appearing to us in this modern age? It is because of the lack of religious and moral education and proper policy for generation development.
Students should be aware of their obligations TO DO and NOT TO DO, values LOGICAL and DIALECTICAL and ethics RIGHTEOUSNESS and RELIGIOUS FIRMNESS.
As life is always a challenge in where we can't think of roses, we have to undergo some natural obligations too. If we try to reverse the obligation of nature, we have to be penalized. Hence, it's better to go through the ways our hearts direct for and avoid overflowing our limitations. Only then both the peace of mind and the success must come true
There are some duties of our parents or guardians too. In maximum cases, guardians of students become addicted to having only good results and don't even think otherwise. For this they impose unnecessary pressures upon students. By hook or by crook, outstanding results are a must for them. Determining whether to get A+ or more, maximum parents almost forget the values, obligations, responsibilities, ethics of themselves as well as students. It's quite a shocking that the students are inspired to take any unauthentic ways to make a good result.
But for their kind consciousness, it is very true that a student, sometimes, with best results may not be a good man.
For making a perfect personality parents should emphasize students' obligations, social and religious norms, moralities, social values, mannerism and aestheticism. The most focusing point is that a generation cannot only be built by modern and advanced methods of academic learning; rather a well generation can be established by the flame of ingenuity conscience, etiquette, values, traditions and ethics. Since parents are not focusing on individual development, most of the educational Institutions become financially blessed. Teachers overlook their career.
For lack of constructive curriculum, mismanagement of making policy, our future generation has deteriorated at a high rate.
So, to compete with the modern world, and to rise up to be a proud nation, we all should work hand in hand to change radically. The only solution is that if we execute common sense at our individual stages of life, and modify the nation accordingly, we will have a proud nation in the world.
That's why B. Franklin said, "Common sense is something that everybody needs; few have it and none thinks they lack!
