Good day, amazing people of the Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hivelearners community. I am so delighted to participate in this week's prompt, my dear country.
Nigeria, my country, is a nation blessed with many natural resources. No matter how terrible a country may be, there is also good about the country; no country is 100 per cent right. I am so happy to talk about my wonderful country. There are a lot of beautiful things to behold in my country, from our culture to our food and our language. Everything about my country is unique. My country is beautifully and wonderfully made, not minding the downside of the country.
My country is known as the giant of Africa, and when people hear about my country, we are known for our culture, fashion, food and entertainment. I don’t think there is any African country that is blessed like Nigeria. Our diversity is our strength; we have over 250 ethnic groups, and we have three major ethnic groups, which are Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.
A lot of history is created in Nigeria. People from other countries always come to my country for tours. We are blessed with the best weather and no earthquakes. Nigeria is known for its agriculture and natural resources.
When it comes to entertainment, my country is among the top five; from our music to movies, it is top-notch. People from other countries Sing praises of our artists, actors and actresses.
The major problem we have in our country is corruption and internet fraud. The rate of it is so high this corruption makes other countries afraid of us, and most of the countries keep denying us visas to their country. I was shocked that a young man from my country hacked the account of the president of America, Donald Trump. When I heard the news, I was so surprised. I know my country is full of internet fraud, but I didn’t know we had gone to that stage.
The majority of these countries are afraid of my country. I don’t think this internet fraud is something that can just stop; we need to put a lot of work into it in order to achieve that. There is no country without its own bad, and it pains me most of the times that our bad is what we are remembered for.
Another one is bad government. This set of people is really doing us more good than harm because they are affecting their own pockets and how to enrich their family. The issue of bad government has really been our major problem. The citizens are living in fear due to insecurity. A country that was once known as a peaceful country has turned into something else.
In general, no country is perfect, and I am grateful to write about my country. This is a country blessed with a lot of natural resources and good weather, and also, not minding all the downsides of my country, I still love my country, Nigeria, and I pray that one day my country will be better. I am so proud of my country. Long live African, long live Nigeria.Africa,
