Plates of Paradise: Cebu Edition

𝐋𝐥𝐚𝐋𝐥𝐚𝐨 At SM Seaside, me and my best friends headed to LlaoLlao on the top ground level in front of Yayoi, which was the perfect treat when we needed something cold in our stomach . The soft-serve ice cream was so yummy, creamy and smooth, with a chocolate and matcha sauce that added a perfect sweetness. Also I loved the crunchy toppings that made every swallow interesting and the matcha added a herbal flavour. What made it extra wonderful was that I shared it with my best friends, making a simple dessert into a fun memory. It was so very refreshing and satisfying that I want to come back together with my siblings. A must-try for ice cream lovers in Cebu! I tried a strawberry tart with iced matcha latte the flavors were so amazing together. The tart was so soft, buttery, and topped with a fresh strawberries on it , while the matcha latte was smooth and not too sweet. I also had iced lemon tea, which made the snack even more so refreshing an relaxing. This simple but special treat made me want to return again, especially with someone I love. There were grilled meats, shrimp, vegetables, rice, and even a small cake to end our meal. The meats were very smoky and tasty, the shrimp was flavorful and spicy, and the rice was soft and filling. What I liked the most was sharing the food with my famiy, passing dishes around, and laughing together, which reminded me of a perfect family gatherings. The cake at the end was a sweet surprise that made the whole meal even better. Perfect for family style bonding! I ordered open-faced sandwiches with chips on the side and paired them with iced coffee, which was so refreshing. The food tasted lightly and freshly, filling me up without being too heavy on my stomach. The café itself had a calm and cozy vibe and ambiance, also a nice place to chat with your true friends or just sit alone and read a book. This experience showed me that even small snacks can give you an energy and make you feel happy. A chill spot for coffee and light bites! The loaded fries are nottoo much salty, crunchy, and filled with toppings that made them hard to resist it. I also had a red iced tea, which balanced my food with its sweet and refreshing flavor on it. This meal wasn’t fancy, but it was really so fun and filling, perfect for hanging out with anyone you go with. Sometimes the best food is the one that’s simple, cheesy, and makes you feel good. The ramen had a rich broth, tender pork slices, soft noodles, and also a tasty egg on it that made the flavor even better. We enjoyed the meal so much while watching our favourite movie on an ipad and sipping a cold drinks, which it made the night even more fun. The serving was so big and the taste wasn’t too salty. The meal always reminded me that food is not just about flavor but also about enjoying the moment with my cousin. A cozy ramen nights done right! Rate : 9.9/10  𝐉𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐞 At Maguikay, Mandaue, my family and I had a Jollibee picnic and it was such a happy moment. The spread had all my favorites: crispy Chickenjoy, saucy Burger Steak, Yum Burger, refreshing drinks, and the famous Peach Mango Pie. The chicken was crunchy and juicy, the gravy made it taste even better, and the pie was sweet and crispy. Eating outdoors with my family made it more special because we shared stories and laughed together. Jollibee is more than just food because it always brings comfort and feels like a home. The true taste of Pinoy happiness! Rate : 10/10 When I'm Looking back at all the foods adventure or journey I had when I'm in Cebu City, I've realized that food is not only about to taking a taste or eat but also it's about the happy memories you've created with the people you love the most. Sharing ice cream with friends made me laugh, eating ramen with my cousin made me relax, having pasta with my buddies filled my heart, and enjoying Chickenjoy with my family made me feel at home. I've also noticed that food are doesn’t always have to be fancy or to be special enough. When I reflect on all of the food adventures or journeys I've had in Cebu City, I realise that food is about more than just tasting or eating; it's also about creating wonderful memories with the people you care about the most.
