Hello Hive Community,
This is my first time participating in the LOH weekly community contest #252, and I must say, I don't regret taking this step. It feels like the perfect opportunity to share a piece of my journey, one that has been shaped by passion, strengthened by independence, and fueled by a vision where even profit plays a meaningful role.
My name is Precious, a dedicated nursing student, passionate about healthcare, personal growth, and leadership. Some of you might not know this though. I believe in using knowledge not just to build a career, but to touch lives and inspire others.
This is one of the ways I express myself, and through it, I aim to connect, motivate, and share the lessons I’m learning on this journey.
From the very beginning, I knew that nursing was more than just a career path, it was my calling. For me, passion has always been the heartbeat of this journey. Whenever I walk into a hospital ward, sit attentively in lectures, or stay awake through long nights of studying, I remind myself of the bigger picture.
What I am building goes beyond knowledge and skills, it is the ability to restore health, bring hope, and stand with people at their most vulnerable times.
My passion always keeps me grounded. It is the reason I embrace challenges with courage, knowing that nursing is not only about administering care but about the love, empathy, and compassion that come with it.
Yet, I believe passion alone is not enough. Passion must be matched with sustainability, and that is where profit enters my vision.
To me, profit is not about greed or selfish ambition,it is about value, reward, and stability. If I give my best to my profession, it is only fair that I also create a life where I can thrive.
I dream of aligning my passion with opportunities, whether through entrepreneurship, health consultancy, or educational platforms. These are avenues where I can earn, grow, and reinvest into even bigger dreams.
Profit means security, growth, and most importantly, the chance to expand my impact beyond the hospital walls.
Above all, independence has always been a driving force in my life. Growing up in an African home where responsibility was taught early, I quickly learned that freedom does not come by chance, it is built through resilience, consistency, and determination.
My independence is not just about financial freedom, it is about owning my decisions, shaping my future, and becoming someone others can look up to and depend on.
Nursing, for me, is not only a career that empowers me, but also one that equips me with the strength to empower others.
Passion, profit, and independence are not separate chapters of my story. They are three interconnected pillars holding up the vision of the woman I am becoming. I want to be remembered not just as a nurse, but as a woman who found joy in her passion, created stability through profit, and stood tall in independence.
My journey is still unfolding, but one thing is certain I am determined to transform every challenge into a stepping stone and every dream into reality.
Shalom
